A Whiff of your fragrance turned my face,
To catch a glimpse of the end of your garment as it quickly flew past me.
Leaving me to wonder if I saw you? Or heard  your footsteps as they faded in the distance- yet so close. The sound of your presence so close to my ears that I can feel it, beating inside of me, wait, is that my heart? Or yours? 
Closer than my jugular vein - Oh Beloved! It’s you! Hoo in me…so close we can’t see you…YOU. سبحاناالله and Shukr! You’re here! Finally! Or finally I know that the reflection I’m seeing is not me but you! Finally can look in the mirror and behold your beautiful countenance. How long has this journey been? How long have I searched for you? At long last to be able to open the eyes of my heart and glance upon your beauty. But when I open my eyes and fall back into what they call wakefulness, it’s only your traces that remain. A whiff of the perfumed air you passed through…the tail end of your garment as it flew by…the sound of your footsteps…traces of the beloved all around me, within me.
