This week on Topshelf we're overjoyed to have with us Budapest's Minimal / Deep House, DJ and Producer, Tolo/Máté Tollner.

Hailing from Hungary, Máté Tollner has been releasing music since his dreamy 2013 debut 'Sparkling Sharks' which features the beautifully bouncy 'This Song Never Ends' as well as the adventuress minimal deep house title track.
He's continued to develop his sound, finding his niche somewhere inbetween Deep house and minimal, using experimental synths and basslines to build tracks that deliver atmosphere on each new release as demonstrated by songs like 'Found' and 'Baum'. In 2019 Tollner's debut EP 'What Should I Wait For' was released, stacked full of deep, rich, sunset Minimal House belters which all hold that atmosphere, incorporating piano elements on top of his wonderful synths which holds for dreamike listening.The album featured huge tracks including 'Never', 'Dig Deep in Dub', 'Berghain' and our personal favourite 'Mad World'.
Since that album Máté Tollner has continued to add to his already incredibly rich sound and delivered us tracks like 'U Should', 'Pedál' and 'Be The Change', all of which strike so many chords with us.

This week on Topshelf we're gassed to have with us Manchester based, Heavy House and Speed Garage, DJ/Producer, REIMOND.

Announcing himself to the world last year with a statement debut in the beautifully crafted 'Once Again', which was followed up by the summer anthem 'Some Feelin', REIMOND has quickly demonstrated his fine knack for production, being able to seamlessly combine heavy beats and fast bpm's with soulful synths and blissful vocals, which has earned him playtime on BBC's Future Dance as well as ensuring his tracks make their way into DJ's memory sticks up and down the country.
The most recent addition to his arsenal is the ruthless anthem 'Breaking Ma Heart' which screams warehouse rave with its acid synths, rolling baseline and cutting trance lead, calling back to a nostalgic point in time and nodding to his cultural roots in Manchester.
We've been excited about this one for a while and are delighted to have such a promising prospect from our new city so without further ado here's the energy in Topshelf 0116 with REIMOND. Enjoy.

This week on Topshelf we’re delighted to have with us an extremely promising artist from Manchester, in Vivid Records co-head, Celdred.

With the gift of a groovy baseline, funky keys and tight knit percussions, Celdred’s brand of minimal tech house is quickly cementing him as one of Manchesters most promising prospects whilst his output has labelled him as one of the most productive.

Two years in production has seen the budding producer release 12 EP’s with his most recent release being the club coded ‘Drug Goblin’ with Pavilac which features two floor fillers in the self titled opener as well as ‘Total Confusion’. 

The EP beautifully highlights Celdred’s consistency with the quality of his baselines, which are always infectious and drive his tracks making them digestible for the dance floor regardless of what direction the lead takes them. Celdred’s dancing syths are also on full display throughout his EP's, brilliantly coupling with the baselines to make it increasingly difficult to listen to without moving a foot or two.

Celdred's debut 'Just a Groove' in 2022 boasts some of the most perfect keys you could ask for in a minimal deep house track on top of those signature baselines which demonstrates the raw talent and the roots from which his flowering discography has grown. His 'Noise Report' EP with Domenico Brena this year also has to have a shout with 'I Don't See Your Face' utilising rich, plucky synths and a warm vocal to showcase Celdred's version of classic house alongside the jazzy spectacle 'Live Your Life' which oozes class.

We very much look forward to see what's next on the horizon for one of Manchesters most exciting talents and now, with an eclectic mix for us that shows his quality behind the decks, we're delighted to present Topshelf 0126 with Celdred. Enjoy

This week on Topshelf we’re delighted to have with us, London based, Scottish born, DJ and Producer, Kenny Blacksmith.

Having been a core member of the SlothBoogie team for a decade, Kenny Blacksmith has been working on his solo career in 2024, with his superb debut, the acid championing, deep dub, ‘Mondays Fish’ releasing in March this year on Natural Frequencies. The record showcased his fine production with the ever evolving tracks dancing synths, rich dub and impressive minimal hats insuring that the floor stays filled for the entirety of its 6 minutes and marking an exciting start to his new venture.

With regular sets in London, Berlin and Ibiza, Blacksmith has proved over a decade behind the decks that he’s a highly gifted DJ, providing an array of eclectic tunes, working through multiple genres in house, allowing him to perfectly digest the mood of a room to reflect back onto the dance floor. With a special ear for a dubby bass line and an acid synth, it’s easy to see what’s made Blacksmith a staple in London’s nightclub scene.

Now with a mix for us that beautifully demonstrates his diversity across the house genre. Big dubby beats and eclectic minimal grooves, all served up with soulful undertones, we’re delighted to give you Topshelf 0127 with Kenny Blacksmith. Enjoy.

This week on Topshelf we’re extremely happy to have with us, San-Fran local and House DJ/Producer, Zero Idea.

Hailing from the city by the bay, Zero idea’s brand of house consists of pulling from a multitude of genres such as Techno, classic house and minimal and is a sound to be celebrated. With delightfully crafted sound, utilising quality disco samples, creating beautiful synths and showcasing perfectly places percussions, Zero Idea is an up and coming DJ to get your ears around. 
His first release came in the form of ‘Heavy (Global Groove Cut)’, an encapsulating chilled house track that incorporates classic house percussions and a glorious synth that wonderfully carries throughout.  

This was followed up by a classy minimal record ‘Grey’, showing the artists technical prowess. Building the track with his signature synths for 2 minutes, before a drop perfect for any dance floor environment.

Then came the strings! Each release from Zero Idea’s discography further demonstrates his adaptability and his ‘I Like’ EP added disco strings and a Techno flare to his tool box and really saw the artist come into a wealth of quality. The title track is a disco house anthem and features alongside two bangers in their own right, ‘Edge (She Knows)’, which gives elements of classic and deep house with a gorgeous vocal than harks back to house music of the late 90’s / early 2000’s. ‘Climax’ is the last track of the EP, an acid house weapon with heavy percussion, that features a 90’s sax throughout giving it that classic feel. Huge!

Later highlights to of the discography include the beautifully dark, high tempo ‘FOG TOWN’ with @@, ‘Flair’ a sweat box masterpiece, perfect for any rave. ‘THE GARDEN’ with JdB, a minimal techno marvel, with a killer synth lead, we could go on forever!

This week on Topshelf we’re delighted to have with us Brazilian DJ/Producer Zanelato.

A master of the edit, Zanelato has been producing under his moniker since his 2020 version of Ray Phiri’s ‘Play that sax’. 

This early work would be the first demonstration of Zanelato’s style of groove, calling back to the soulful production of the late 80’s / early 90’s as further showcased on his next release. A remix of JND’s ‘Dub in Paris’.

One of Zanelato’s biggest merits is celebrating Latin American music and his next string of edits would do just that, with glorious edit’s of Paula Santoro’s ‘Só Você E Eu’ and Afrodite Se Quiser’s ‘Vida Ferida’, introducing us in the West to a range of artists undiscovered. 

Zanelato’s latest run see’s him put a 90’s spin on The Beloved’s classic ‘The Sun Rising’, MC Eddy’s ‘Quero’, Margareth Menezes’ ‘Elegibô’ and Angélica’s ‘ O Meu Jeito De Ser’.

This week on Topshelf we're delighted to have with us Hungarian Tech House DJ & Producer, Vitus.

With a vibrant career that only began in 2024 and to those who know his work, Vitus is an extremely impressive tech house producer, releasing a multitude of singles, as well as an EP all in his debut year.

His 'Luxx' EP is one of the most enjoyable tech house records we came across in 2024, with 'Bring it on' being a summer corker, fitting for any motive once the sun reveals itself. The title track shows off Vitus' quality in his production, with glorious strings and a minimal tech house under belly that gives us one of our favourite tracks within the genre, an understated classic. 'Closed Doors' closes out the EP with it's synth flare and percussive prowess to make this a highly impressive debut.

His latest track 'Bob Jamz' fittingly does exactly what it says on the tin, in fact it's impossible 
not to have a bob to. Utilising funky piano notes and basslines, on top of breaks samples to give us another track that never rushes any of its components and carries on the trend of top quality tracks, in a genre that needs some new life blown through it. Vitus is that guy.

This week on Topshelf we’re delighted to have with us, all the way from Germany, Harry Nipples.

With a superb start to 2025 playing at Katernacht alongside the likes of Bryan Kessler, M-High and Bambi S, Harry Nipples is a euphoric treat to the ear drums.

With her sets aesthetically celebrating the 80’s, serving out glorious synths, pulsating basslines and piano grooves, Harry Nipples is truly a fantastic representation for Italo.

‘Dance Now’, Harry Nipples original track with fellow Berliner jo.desaga is an italo DJ’s dream, giving us 90’s inspired trance vocals alongside dreamy signature piano keys and a superb bassline that is impossible not to throw down to. Anthem.

With a crackin’ mix for us incorporating Italo and Soul and perfectly showcasing the artists exceptional mixing and track selection, serving it all up on a wave of 80’s emotion. We couldn't be happier to bring the groovin' delights of Harry Nipples. Enjoy

Topshelf is back after a short hiatus throughout the essay period, but we are back and proud to bring you a fresh new mix from DJ / Producer, Queen of Coins.

With a self titled debut album releasing at the end of 2024, Queen of Coins has started there production career off with a bang, with the record featuring an array of corkers, including the ever evolving ’Summer Card’, which analogically delivers a wonderful start to the record.

Other highlights include ’Bring It To The Top’ , ‘Damaged Souls’, ‘Oreo Cake’ and ‘Head Tension’ which all carry the signature pulsating baselines, giving us a juicy italo core accompanied with beautiful synths, all harking back to 80’s nostalgia.

This week on Topshelf we’re delighted to have with us Bristol based, Deep Tech DJ/Producer, Alexisitry.

With a multitude of accomplished formats under her belt, Alexisitry has a SWU.FM show, whilst also being member of Bristols techno events team and record label, Flat 7, on top of heading up her own night, Alexisitry’s Cocktail Club. The next progression naturally for the impressive DJ was to start releasing music and 2024 saw the beginning of what looks to be an illustrious production career. Teaming up with fellow Flat 7 member Edetto for both the techno stomper ‘Where The Party At?’ and ‘Where the 1 At?’, which is a golden track for afters.
