Death Train [Demo]

Hank Rusch goes for the throat with this stripped down raucous rocker about a fugitive from injustice called The Innocent.  Hank creates a raw precision with his spare but loud use of only drums, bass, guitar. Sweet but grinding like frosting on a cake with a file inside Hank give us just desserts with his slide guitar work. Hank's voice brings an authentic dimension to the song as he recounts the first person story of a man wrongly convicted, escaped, on the run.  Hank's screaming falsetto in tandem with his high slide guitar ends the song like a war cry... as if to say, Today is a good day to die, but I will fight for one more.

the train it left the tracks
Everybody broke their backs

So they put me in Joliet
on a back to back 30 stretch

We put on mechanics uniforms
and hot wired the owner's Dodge

as I stuffed my hungry gullet

I slipped out of town on a mail truck

I crawled into a sewer grate

I met a woman in St. Paul
She liked me and she took me in
She believed I was innocent
as long as I gave her good lovin'

But I saw her sittin' in a G man's car
I could tell from the government plates
They had the goods on her for somethin' else
She gave me up and turned states

The moon for March is known today as the Worm Moon. However, the roots of the moon names are lost “in the mists of time” as they say. So after some discussion, Andreas and I came to the view that this March moon was most probably named after the Old English/Saxon for ‘dragon’ which is ‘wyrm’, as it is known in the 10th century epic Beowulf, and that the common-or-garden worm was named after its mightier mythical ancestor. So here it is, and we hope you like it!

It is a Suno rendition of the traditional Sanctus from the Latin Mass for the Dead, or Requiem. I must admit I was gasping when I heard the high notes their 'alto soloist' was able to reach.
