since then, her skillful arrangements within the genres of dark disco, indie dance, progressive house and new wave have triggered dancefloor euphoria, which finds its way into her listeners’ ears in form of an intoxicating midtempo.

Rising up out of Brazil’s hotbed of formidable talent, Mochakk (AKA Pedro Maia) embodies a level of passion and drive that has placed him in a league of his own. His insatiable hunger for knowledge means he has a broad palette to draw from, channelling his deep well of influences into his vibrant creative output. As anyone who has witnessed him in action will attest, Pedro wears his heart on his sleeve, often expressing his honest love for music in an endearingly physical manner. His skills as a selector have led to bookings at globally renowned clubs, including a residency at the iconic DC-10, while his productions encapsulate his diverse sonic identity. A natural born entertainer, who regularly devours music, history and cultural information by the truckload, Mochakk is a unique artist whose energy and enthusiasm are contagious.

Mochakk’s achievements in 2023 alone demonstrate how influential and respected he has become, with his online fanbase growing to over 3.5 million followers across his socials. He sold out a 5,000-capacity show for leading broadcaster Cercle at the Plaza de España in Seville (the set has almost 4 million views), played over 160 shows in 29 countries, and joined the family at DC-10 as a resident. On that note, Mochakk also released the huge single ‘Jealous’ with Circoloco Records, alongside his killer remixes of Groove Armada’s ‘Superstylin’’ and Diplo’s ‘Express Yourself’. 2023 also saw the launch of his Tricks And Tracks event series, merging his love of skateboarding with electronic music for a unique party. Elsewhere, his Mochakk Calling events have sold out at every worldwide location so far. At the end of 2023 he was named by both Amazon Music and Spotify Mint as Artist to Watch in 2024, wrapping up a hugely successful 2023 with the promise of an even bigger year ahead...

Her name is Barbara but friends call her Babxi (pronounced 'Babsi'). Babxi's unique sound, an indulgent mix of high-energy, nostalgic house and classic disco, fills floors with forward female vocals, acid to piano house riffs and trance-loving atmospheric vibes, bringing together the best of 90s warehouse rave culture and the legendary nightlife of Paradise Garage and Studio 54.

A decade around Berlin’s gritty underground, plus Canadian party DNA with Filipino, Irish and Scottish roots, today shapes Babxi’s warm, celebratory sound. She has performed in Berlin at nightclub greats, and invited on tour dates across Germany and Thailand.

As a culture journalist, she has contributed to the local electronic music scene covering topics from the 'Clubsterben' (club closures) to the pandemic's effect on Berlin nightlife; she also previously wrote a nightlife column and hosted a lifestyle TV show in Bangkok. In 2025, she plans to release her first productions!
