Not too long ago, if you were known as a “rapper” you were automatically stereotyped and categorized as one type of genre. It was assumed that you as a “rapper” talked, walked, dressed and acted a certain way. You were either accepted by your peers or exit out. Now, a new wave has taken over. What was not accepted in the past is now acknowledged. There are no longer limits. Borders have been crossed and music lovers have embraced the “rappers” of today. 
MRNES is a part of this new waive. He’s creating his own music lane with his unique style, choice of lyrics and flow. Good music is undeniable. MRNES has redefined the term “rapper” and has taken this method of music and has transformed it into his own. He brings a new flavor to the music world. He’s sound can be described as Wiz Khalifa meets Fabulous with a twist of B.O.B. MRNES’s mission is to capture the soul that lives in music and create tunes that many can relate to and enjoy listening too for years to come.

MUTATION – the jarring experimental UK metal noise mongers – will release their third instalment, ‘Dark Black’, on June 21 through long-standing cult label Undergroove (Lazarus Blackstar, Hogslayer, Johnny Truant, Aerogramme and many more).

‘Dark Black’ was co-written by Exit_International’s Scott Lee Andrews and features a heap of well-established players including Devin Townsend, Phil ‘Motörhead’ Campbell, Arty Shepherd (Primitive Weapons), Jon Poole (Ex-Cardiacs, The Wildhearts), Toshi (Hey! Hello!) and Paul Catten (Barrabus, The Sontaran Experiment).

“Generally speaking, the songs tackle issues that we're still processing ourselves,” says Ginger. “Anger, disgust in people, frustration at the collapse of human conscience and hatred of the gullible element that makes up society. Basically, wanting to kill but being unable to, due to the strict penalties involved.”

The album follows on from 2013’s ‘The Frankenstein Effect’ and the Ipecac-released ‘Error 500’, which also saw contributions from Napalm Death’s Shane Embury, Japanoise icon Merzbow and The Fall’s Mark E. Smith.

To celebrate the release of ‘Dark Black’ Mutation will hit the road in October/ November in Japan and the UK. Joining Ginger and Scott will be Vennart, Young Legionnaire and long-term Ginger Wildheart Band drummer Denzel.

Of the forthcoming shows, Ginger added: “I can’t wait to get some demons out onstage with Mutation. We’re going to use ‘chaos therapy’ to mend every broken head in the crowd, at least for one night anyway.”

The Hillary Reynolds Band invites listeners into a transcendent folk experience. The quintet charms with campfire congeniality, classic songs, and an astounding soulful and technical grasp of Americana. After four years, the band has risen from coffeehouse darlings to sharing stages with Norah Jones and performing at festivals in front of thousands. In advance of the band’s upcoming album, HRB released a standalone single, “Crossing The Line,” to whet its fans’ appetites. The single and upcoming album mark a new era of widespread exposure for these roots-pop torchbearers.

Over two albums and three stunning videos—HRB’s most recent video, “Crossing The Line,” notched over 90,000 views in its first 2 months—the band has garnered acclaim for blending a diverse cross selection of roots music within a framework of finely crafted songs that feel instantly familiar.  The Hillary Reynolds Band is comprised of members from all over the U.S. but coalesced at Berklee College Of Music around a reverence for traditional American music forms. HRB is Hillary Reynolds, lead vocals; Connor Reese, guitar; Trevor Jarvis, cello and backing vocals; Jeff Hale, drums; and Chris Mewhinney, electric and acoustic bass. The Boston-based group has graced the stages of some the most esteemed venues nationwide and performed at Northeast Pennsylvania Bluegrass Festival, Mile of Music Festival in Appleton, WI, the Blue Plate Special on WDVX Knoxville, the EAA AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, and Green Bay's Meyer Theatre and Fox 11 morning show “Good Day Wisconsin.”

The five piece has been blogged about by popular fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss, and featured on the front page of Reddit.com. HRB has performed and been featured on Wisconsin radio stations 91.1 the Ave, WWSP 90, Boston's Berklee Internet Radio Network, 92.5 The River, among many others. Additionally, HRB has won acclaim for its members’ instrumental virtuosity. Primary songwriter Hillary Reynolds has earned endorsements with Lampifier Microphones and Eastman Mandolins, and members of the quintet have worked with such notable artists as Wyclef Jean, Imogen Heap, and The Click Five, and Michael Manring.

HRB is enriched by the vibrancy of its members’ personalities and their expansive creativity. 
“Trevor's neurotic, Hillary's happy-go-lucky, I'm unnecessarily masculine, Chris is sarcastic and self-deprecating, and Connor's apprehensive,” drummer Jeff Hale says laughing. “But seriously, Trevor's efficient, Hillary's warm and welcoming, I'm low-maintenance, Chris is hilarious, and Connor's just the coolest one of the bunch.”  Of the band’s multiple instrumental talents, Connor adds: “Each instrument adds a different flavor, and if someone plays some random thing, we can usually find a way to incorporate it. Because of this, the instrumentation is always evolving—we travel with 10 instruments on the stage and more in the car, like piano, cello, mandolin, acoustic, electric, and pedal steel guitars, ukulele, upright and electric bass, and drum kit. It's quite a family.”

As a whole, the band fuses a wide spectrum of genres like rock, jazz, bluegrass, folk, country, and pop. Songwriting in HRB is a lively creative dialogue between Hillary and the guys with all hands sharing in the creative process to craft distinct pastorally beautiful songs. “I get inspired by nature, especially the woods, and friendships, relationships, other people's stories, as well as experiences on the road,” Hillary says. A towering spirit within Hillary’s music is her mother who recently passed away from breast cancer. Hillary previously released a solo EP and continues to donate all proceeds to "The Trina Fund" (named after her mother). The fund’s purpose is to help women diagnosed with breast cancer receive the best possible care by providing resources to assist with transportation costs related to obtaining a second opinion or transportation costs related to receiving treatment for their breast cancer.

BIO.
EDM producer Paul Picasso and Jersey MC MRNES join forces to create an EDM/Trap Step group called YoTrapMidi. To form the group wasn't a hard task since they've previously worked together on many of MRNES's hiphop tracks. They both have fallen in love with the Trap World and feel they can take it up a notch and make some amazing tracks together.
Trap music is a music genre that originated in the early 2000s from Southern hip hop and crunk in the Southern United States. In 2012, a new movement of electronic music producers and DJs emerged who began incorporating elements of trap music into their works. This helped expand its popularity among electronic music fans.
Labeled as the "new dubstep", trap music continues to expand its popularity. The music was initially dubbed simply as "trap" by producers and fans, which led to the term "trap" being used to address the music of both rappers and electronic producers., Instead of referring to a single genre, the term "trap" is used to describe two separate genres of rap and dance music.

No matter your views on Electronic Dance Music, there is one thing for sure – it never fails to keep things interesting in this ever changing industry. The new movement seems to be Trap EDM, or to put it simply, “Trapstep” and it may be blowing up faster than the entire scene itself. If you are not familiar (and I don’t blame you) it’s pretty simple. Imagine all of the wubs, womps, build ups, drops, etc. you surely are used to hearing by now but throw in a looped Gucci Mane or Meek Mill beat with an overwhelming amount of random ad-libs ping ponging through your speakers. That’s trapstep.
