Summer's Fading

Santa Barbara’s The Mends are an alternative-rock trio consisting of guitarist, vocalist and composer Igor Mezic, bassist Michael Robinson and drummer Bill Cuttler establishing a high-energy, pogo-friendly live outfit. Drawing on power-pop and post-punk touchstones—from Bowie to The Strokes—the band marries bright hooks to wiry guitars and a dance-ready pulse. Since 2023 they’ve released a run of singles—“Cruel” (2023), “Beachside” (2024), “Second & A Half” (2024), and “I’ll Be With You” (2025)—now streaming on major platforms. Onstage, The Mends have been building momentum around California’s Central Coast with shows at venues like Lost Chord Guitars (Solvang) and SOhO Santa Barbara, where the emphasis is squarely on movement, melody, and good trouble.
