This album is our sophomore effort with Andrija Tokic, recorded at the Bomb Shelter in Nashville and we had a lot of fun making it.

The title - not a lightly considered decision, warrants a word. One might question the choice of “Nazi Hologram” as a title, but for us it reflects the apparently insane and contradictory world in which we find ourselves.

“Nazi Hologram” is one of those tunes (the first verse and chorus at least) that just showed up in my head. It felt so oddly complete, the language resonated with such a deep part of me that I couldn't actually write the rest of the song till an hour or two before we had to record it. We understand it may be challenging for AM/FM radio and all but we're not writing music for them. We're trying to make sense of our lives, our family's and friend's lives - our America as we live it and and see it. 

This record was written mostly on the road.  As a band we've been through all 48 states of the continental U.S. and what we see are people looking for order in an increasingly disordered world, good people looking for personal validation in some frightening places. We notice a growing fear among decent people to say what they actually think and find the trend both boring and alarming.  Our collective sense of what's actually important, what reality really looks like, feels so dangerously out of whack that we feel a duty to reflect it as best we can.  This record explores, to the best of our ability, what it takes to live, love and struggle in this increasingly hyper and soul crushing 21st century.
