Durante varios años su misión en este planeta ha sido emplear sus
habilidades y súper poderes sonoros para poner a bailar a todos habitantes 
de la Tierra.

La propuesta musical de Soul Sonora se compone de patrones rítmicos cuidadosamente dispuestos, retomados del soul, el jazz, ritmos latinos como la cumbia y otros subgéneros mas ácidos, rock psicodélico y música disco, dando como resultado, algo llamado: Cyber Funk, subgénero al que le agregan un comportamiento enérgico y simiesco sobre el escenario, para crear una experiencia groove genuina.

Fusión, energía y baile

La propuesta escénica de Soul Sonora nace de la necesidad de rebelarse de ciertos estereotipos para resaltar el trabajo de los instrumentos musicales y crear un ambiente de libertad en donde todo es posible. 

Soul Sonora es una banda diversificada que ha participado en un sinnúmero de eventos y proyectos culturales, entre ellos el Festival Internacional de Jazz de Mazunte, el Festival Internacional Cervantino, La Semana de las Juventudes CDMX, The BBoy Battles, Feria de la Ciudad de México, y foros y escenarios importantes como el Zinco Jazz Club, Imperial, Caradura, Patanegra, Multiforo Alicia, Centro Cultural de España, además de haber colaborado en el Festival Vive Latino, el CONARTE y en diversas ferias y exposiciones gastronómicas y artísticas.

Soul Sonora ha recopilado algunas de sus canciones en el LP “Go Funk Yourself” y actualmente se encuentra grabando un nuevo EP, además de haber participado en las sesiones en vivo de Cero Decibeles, Vox Tv, Abanico entre otras.

alt-J are Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green. They returned in 2022 with their latest album, The Dream.  

alt-J are one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Their 2012 Mercury Prize and Ivor Novello Award-winning debut An Awesome Wave, was followed two years later by their number one, GRAMMY and BRIT Award-nominated album This Is All Yours. Released in 2017, RELAXER flew straight into the top 10 of the UK album chart ahead of a summer of major international shows - including a headline show at London’s O2 Arena and headline performances at numerous festivals - and became their second album to be nominated for the Mercury Prize.
