High Focus Records was established in 2010 to offer a platform for a new generation of rappers and producers in the UK. 

Twelve years on and nearly 200 releases later, our mission statement remains the same; to champion the most forward-thinking artists, with a key focus on strengthening the pillars that continue to unify the scene to this day (and beyond).

Mark Balet is a singer/songwriter from Paris, based between New York city and Miami.   Born to military parents, he was raised between Ivory Coast, France, United States, Spain and Egypt. In 1996 at the age of 13, he formed with his sidekick Tashunke, Mauvaise Race, a hip-hop and raggamuffin duo, and sharpened his style through Sound Systems.
​Formerly known as Marky, he first gained notice in France in 2009 with the reggae song Outsider from his third studio album Eternel [EM/Sony]. In 2014 and 2016 Mark Balet released "Born to Love" and "Holy Ground" with VP Records. Followed by "King of Kings" in 2019, a fusion of Reggae Afrobeats and Dancehall.
The volume one of his latest album “Faya: Heartbreak in Miami” is now available  on all digital platforms.
