There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet

I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared
I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Bel Air'
I pulled up to the house about seven or eigth
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

I've been goin to raves since 1991, my first rave was a Double Hit Mickey with a number of dj's Mr Koolaid, Little Louie Vega and so many more. When we Bought the ticket on melrose it gave us directions to a treet corner where somebody was standing on a corner with more directions to another street corner ,after a few more corners we ended up in Palm Springs at a Indian reservation wherehouse. As we entered there was free acid at the door..... I met some great people and after it was over at 6am we went to Flamable Liquid in LA, it was the strangest location catacorner to the Rampart Division we stayed until 10am and then went the Sketchpad at the Athenian Gardens....And i haven't stopped...You can email me on yahoo... nrgey1@gmail.com     Hey everybody its  been awhile since i've logged in , New Years  2016 is just 3 days away yes looking forward to going out and partying anybody know of good show? All throughout my childhood, I was never one to shy away from standing in the spotlight. I was definitely meant to be on the stage. When I was 7 years old, my mom took me to my first voice lesson. I fell in love and grew to be so fascinated with the idea of being a singer. When I was 14 I formed my first Country band in Cincinnati with all Jazz musicians. I know what you’re probably thinking; “that seems interesting”. Well, it was! But, I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. Actually, all of the hard times I’ve had to face I wouldn’t want to redo because they’ve made me a stronger, more experienced, knowledgeable artist! My first few years, I had shows where the rhythm guitar player would be playing in one key, the bass player would be playing in another key and neither of the keys were the actual key of the song! After gigs like that, I would go to the car, cry, and ask myself, “Is all this stress worth it?” I soon realized that after those terrible experiences, I appreciated and loved all the great experiences and I would soon answer my own question, “there’s nowhere else I belong”. 

From the age of 14 all the way up to 18 I worked extremely hard at improving my voice, my brand, marketing, social media and network around Ohio. By the age of 17-19 I was playing out at different festivals, fairs, bars, and clubs 3-4 times a week. I opened for Dustin Lynch, John Michael Montgomery, Billy Ray Cyrus, Daryl Singletary, Kip Moore and Josh Thompson.  I was living the dream and couldn’t have been more excited to continue and grow in Nashville, Tennessee. My ticket to Nashville was to attend Belmont University where I am a junior and study, The Entertainment Industry. During my freshman year, I decided I needed to figure out a few of the most important questions an artist needs to know in order to be genuine and real with all my supporters: “Who am I as an artist?” “What do I want to be known as?” “Where does my heart feel most at home?” To answer these questions, I expanded in music and started up a Rock band where we would play covers by CCR, Lenny Kravitz, AC/DC, and more. That was fun and it really expanded my knowledge of music history, but I still didn’t feel like it was home. Rocking country music is where I belong! 

Now, here I am! I’m a girl who holds a huge spot in her heart for the Foo Fighters, Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin but is definitely more heavily influenced by the Dixie Chicks, Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert, and Kacey Musgraves. I’m in the process of working on my latest EP that’s going to share music from my naked soul. I have a full band that keeps the crowd on their feet by playing covers through a variety of artists/bands such as: Dixie Chicks, Gretchen Wilson, Loretta Lynn, The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Miranda Lambert, and more!

For buses we suggest arriving between 11 and noon and then departure 5 or 5:30 pm, because some political groups will be doing events and lobbying 3-5 p.m. Oct. 22. The bus drop is on Monroe and 2nd Streets, one block from the rally.

2:30-3:30 p.m.: March around the 4-block expanse of the capital, back to the 2nd and Capital starting point.

3:30-5 p.m.: LGBT political groups including Equality Illinois may have events inside the State Capital, including lobbying of your elected officials. So make sure to leave time to meet your state reps if you can. Also, bring a state-issued ID, and no signs allowed inside. 


Sign language and disability issues
There will be a sign language interpreter.
There will be a roped-off area for wheelchairs, for those needing chairs and for the hearing impaired.


Food and Beverages
The March will not have food or beverages, but there are places nearby for food and drinks.
Come to the rally site at 2nd and Capital for maps and details.

11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. there will be free youth bus lunches available 1 block from the rally site.

Weather
The events will happen rain or shine, cold or hot, so come prepared with jackets and umbrellas.


What Color Should I Wear?
The March's color is dark purple, but feel free to wear what you want, or join in with your union, school or church colors/uniforms. 


Signs
Please feel free to bring banners for your groups, and special signs for marriage. Note we will be walking on the sidewalks, so large banners may not work. Make sure your signs are weatherproof if possible. Also, signs are not allowed inside the capital. 

We will also have about 2,000 signs for people to carry in the March.


Should we come down early/stay late?
There will be several advance events prior to the March on Springfield, Tuesday, Oct. 22.

If you can, we suggest you come down Monday, stay thru the Tuesday March, and then stay Wednesday for the legislative session. Or come even earlier for special events.

He also operates a primary school for over 550 students, many of whom have been affected by HIV/AIDS, and a children's home for AIDS orphans near Masaka, Uganda. 

First Presbyterian Church of Springfield, Illinois, Service 10:30 a.m. Special guest: Tricia Dykers-Koenig, the National Organizer for Covenant Network, plus members discuss what it has meant to them to be part of an inclusive congregation, 321 South 7th Street.

The Coalition of Rainbow Alliances (CORAL) for the Springfield area hosts a picnic with PFLAG of Springfield, open to all March attendees, 4-10 p.m., at Lincoln Park, along North 5th from Sangamon Avenue southward.

Tuesday, Oct. 22
Legacy Project, LGBT history markers, will have a traveling display of the markers both inside and outside the capitol building. 

Rainbow Families event starting 9 a.m., FREE, at Illinois State Museum, 402 S. Spring St., Springfield. All day, including during the march, a place for families to take a break. Changing stations available, next to family-friendly mall for food. Play space for toddlers up to 10 years old, and for older kids, a search-interactive game with their families.
