The Morning Punch-In Show with RB & Jae, a morning drive, boxing themed podcast hosted by Raging Babe Michelle Rosado (RB) and Jeandra LeBeauf (Jae) combines the hosts’ extensive boxing knowledge, down-to-earth personalities, and a razor sharp sense of humor, to deliver an innovative and entertaining spectacle  that transcends the podcast format and crowded field of boxing radio shows. 

The industry is noticing.  The show’s “Word on the Curb” segment has become a hotbed for breaking boxing news, inspiring discussions and articles on other media websites and on social media platforms. The past year has been a whirlwind with The Silver Lining adding their cool, sexy edge and unrivalled individualism to match the hottest venues in town. A four piece band consisting of two soulful lead vocalists (male and female) and a range of unique multi-instrumental talent ranging from guitars, drums, piano and percussion has made TSL one of Sydney's most sought after bands.

DJ Oz is the Manchester based lynchpin of the UK clubbing scene, a DJ with a career spanning two decades and a formidable cluster of residencies both past and current under his belt. Currently resident at London and Ibiza hedonists Pukka Up, as well as Hed Kandi’s more discerning sister showcase Stereo Sushi (most notably at their monthly Dubai parties at N'Dulge (Previously Sanctuary Nightclub). He also promotes and DJs at his own event the Manchester based Rude, and has previously been at the helm for Miss Moneypennys and Kinky Malinki. 

His incredible two decade spanning journey has seen him play across the globe, counting Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Poland, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Majorca, Lanzarote and Ibiza amongst the destinations blessed by his beats. For Pukka Up he has continually played for their numerous MTV tours, recorded and broadcast throughout the U.K. and Europe on MTV Dance, and his Ibizan presence is so strong he regularly plays at three of the islands most famous and iconic venues; Space, Es Paradis and El Divino. 

And that’s not even mentioning the carnage wrecked on the high seas as part of the legendary Sunset cruise boat parties. On top of these he can also point to appearances at high profile events like Chuff Chuff, Ultima, On a Plate at Haigh Hall and festival like Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, Zoothousand Festival and Planet Love Ireland. Oz is nothing if not prolific.

His expansive take on house music, drifting eloquently between soulful grooves, vocal anthems and delightful deep beats, represents why he remains such a potent draw after all this time. Technically capable of playing over three decks (with all the tricks, acapella usage and technological nous needed), he’s not once forgotten the most important component in everything; the crowd. 

It’s why his latest technological development, incorporating Ableton Live into his sets to remix and re-edit records on the fly, positions his brilliant mix of cutting edge relevance with old school knowledge and prowess. Certainly no johnny come lately mixing the latest beatport charts whilst looking like he’s checking his emails, Oz’s vibrant energy remains undiluted behind the format. 

Blending the beats of today and tomorrow’s dancefloors with the vocals and melodies of the records that have stood the test of time, he blurs the lines between producer and DJ but in a manner which doesn’t weigh too heavily on the clubbing experience. Never drowning his sets in needless technical tricks, whether warming up slowly, playing an anthem crammed peak time offering or a longer set encompassing it all, Oz has the versatility and experience to deliver the results every single time. It’s why he can boast of a 95% repeat booking rate and a legion of fans across the globe. Always the consummate professional, his crowd pleasing style never fails to gift a dancefloor the impetus and success it deserves.

Oz’s thirst for dance music couldn’t have developed in stronger surroundings. As a wide eyed youth in the early nineties, he began his clubbing tutelage in the Hacienda, as well as nearby US House party ‘Out in the Sticks’ in nearby Todmorden. Completely bitten by the bug he started Rude in 1994. As debut promotions go it didn’t do too badly; the event is still running in Manchester to this day after celebrating its 17th birthday in riotous form at Sankeys in September 2011. And like the clubnight that he has helped create, Oz is himself in rude health.

Currently working on some productions with good friend Jason Herd, he’s taking his passion for the floor into the studio and already delivering results that have impressed the best ears in the business. Add to that a day job running a highly successful events and artists management agency and you’re talking about an artist who understands the machinations of the music long beyond the dancefloor. 

But it’s behind the decks where he will always be at his most comfortable. His innate mixture of global experience with gregarious energy, current music with classic mainstays, and technical wizardry with thundering work-rate makes him an irrepressible exponent of dancefloor dynamite. Year after year he continues to get better, and with more residencies and gigs in the pipeline the next chapters in this illustrious story are well on their way to being written. 

There’s very few DJs that manage to stand the test of time and still stay relevant in a crowded marketplace, but Oz fits resolutely into that category. Having seen the dancefloor evolve, he’s stayed true to the principles that has served DJs so well whilst absorbing every exciting new development. A New school sound with an old school approach, Oz remains as on the money musically as he was when he first started, and encompasses everything a modern DJ should be. Quite simply, he’s the epitome of dancefloor dynamite.

Effortless elegance 

I have always been attracted by music that cannot easily be categorised. Too much predictability can be boring. Sometimes you only need to hear a few seconds worth of music to conclude that "this is a jazz band", "this is country music" or "they are a typical pop group". 

Not so with URO. 

They are a band that beautifully and gracefully defies categorisation. Not by being unfocused or undecided, but by proudly creating their music with an open mind. They are allowing influences from a wide variety of styles and forms to enter their music, while all the time staying rooted in their own concept of quality and musical cohesion. 

URO is a rare bird, promising to fly high, and to bring beautiful, clean, transparent music to all those who will be tuning in to their frequency.

They are a professional bunch. Their point of departure as a band is the Music Department of the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. For decades already, this institution has been among the leaders in a process to break out of academia's former limitations to classical music, and to open up for jazz, rock, traditional music, electronics and more.

The members of URO all have masters or bachelors in music from this university. While such academic degrees are no guarantee in themselves for the creation of exciting music, they have obviously resulted in skills and knowledge that put these performers well above the average level of musicianship in most bands. 
Their ability to make the music exciting, and not just highly competent, comes from their creativity and imagination, while their realization of musical ideas benefit from their acquired skills.

When listening to the album, you will find yourself in a beautiful and melodic musical landscape. With two guitars and a dobro in the 5 piece line-up, you need to have very defined roles for each of these similar instruments in the different compositions. The soundscape could easily be overpopulated. 

Again: Not so with URO!

The group has managed to create an open and remarkably transparent sound, full and rich, but still with space and room for each instrument. Their guitar sound is clean and natural, with hints of everything from advanced jazz guitar, to traditional music, to the innocence of Hank Marvin's early Shadows. The dobro sometimes adds a feeling of Americana, and while the rhythm section is tight and compact, the whole sound of the group still remains light and transparent, never crowded.

Their music has an easy flow. It seems simple and self-evident, even though it has advanced melodic and harmonic structures, and complicated combinations of rhythms. You just do not notice it at first, because the music has such elegance and such effortless flow, but the elements are there, as small, hidden gems that give the listener deeper satisfaction.

The music of URO will open up to you and satisfy you at first listen. Then it will reveal new layers and new secrets with repeated listening.

Dylan Meyer (born Janurary 30, 1992) is an Australian pop  musician, singer/songwriter, recording artist, and guitarist.

Born in Melbourne, Victoria, he was first discovered in 2011 by local producer Sam Panetta (Kylie  Minogue, Kisschasey, Crowded House) and Sony subsidiary  Melodic Music, after a friend uploaded some recordings of his various live performances around Melbourne onto the  Internet without his knowledge. In 2012, Dylan signed on with Melodic Music to record and release the “When It’s Quiet” EP – culminating in a sold out launch at Melbourne’s infamous ‘Red Bennies’, with more than 200 people packing into the  venue.​
In September 2013, with his local success propelling him, Dylan decided to move to Los Angeles to further his music career. It was here that, while out eating lunch, he bumped into famous producer and ex-label A&R David Kershenbaum.

The two struck up a friendship after Dylan performed some of his songs for him, and in Feburary 2014, they began working togeather and  are currently recording Dylan’s new single/EP.
