Episode 1 - Welcome to Launcestoniana

Launcestoniana is a podcast that brings together Launnie stories. Co-ordinated by a handful of Launcestonian performers, it aims to collect songs, poems, comedy and tales related to the experiences of being from a weird and beautiful little regional city near the bottom of the world. We’re thinking park-monkeys, silt, chimney smoke, Gorge skinny dips and Boags XXX – but we know there is an infinite array of stories that make up every day in the life of Launceston.
We’d like to produce this podcast on a regular basis, and we’re welcoming contributions from anyone who has spent time in Launnie or along the North Esk, South Esk or Tamar rivers. And hopefully someday in the future it’ll turn into a live show, so stay tuned.
