BIO:
Since 2005, Isnaj Dui (Katie English) has stood awkwardly between neo-impressionism and electronica, conveying a minimal yet capturing sound using the pure tones of concert and bass flutes alongside home-made dulcimers and electronics.   Having done her grades on flute and cello, English has also studied electroacoustic music, alternative tunings and Balinese gamelan.  She has graced labels such as Home Normal, Rural Colours, Smallfish, Front & Follow and her own FBox imprint. 

Having gained critical acclaim for releases such as 2007’s Amacrine (Smallfish) and 2014’s Dead Albatross Prize nominated Euplexia (Rural Colours), English has been cited as a distinct voice, taking the flute away from its pastoral image whilst maintaining its unique mellow sound.  She has also composed several site-specific sound installations including UNThread as part of a series throughout unconventional spaces around Essex, and After the Flood as part of Hebden Bridge Arts Festival 2013.  A prolific live performer, English has performed in numerous high profile venues and has received extensive attention in Wire Magazine and air play on Radio 3's Late Junction and BBC 6 Music.

As well as her solo work, Katie plays in littlebow, The Doomed Bird of Providence, The Sly & Unseen and has collaborated live and on record with numerous bands including Piano Magic, Memory Drawings and Hybernation.

Bruce Ling, one of Michigan's finest musical treasures, is a River-side mystic, eloquent story teller, and passionate caretaker of America's collection of traditional music. Raised in a multi-faceted musical family, Bruce found his calling at the ripe age of eight, the first time he was paid for a performance in a garage near his home on Chicago's South Side. At a young age he started becoming the recipient of a vast amount of Oral Tradition: songs and stories passed on from older folk to younger generations. He has since honed an extraordinary repertoire of traditional string-band tunes from near and far. He plays with equal flair and skill on fiddle, mandolin and flat-picked guitar. With stage performances that combine the expressive style of Garrison Keillor or Will Rogers, he paints musical portraits celebrating the colorful history of rural America with a broad repertoire of both original and time-savored traditional folk songs.

As a collector of tunes, and songs, Bruce understands the importance of keeping the history of this timeless musical genre alive and well. He shares his keen knowledge with caring and passion, and his inspiration has propelled a legion of young musicians to continue playing these songs...a true testament to Ling's talents as a teacher and mentor.

A colourful, magical, cosmic English music conjured in rural Oxfordshire by an exceptional trio whose multi-faceted creative capabilities and personalities are alchemised into a majestic whole.

Danny Wilson (Danny And The Champions Of The World, Grand Drive), and Robin Bennett (The Dreaming Spires, Saint Etienne) join forces with Tony Poole (Starry Eyed and Laughing), producer extraordinaire, and King of the electric twelve-string Rickenbacker. Combining their voices, guitars, and songwriting to marvellous effect in a collection of songs that began as uplifting acoustic music and just grew into something far more wide-ranging and transcendent, providing balm, inspiration and succour for these troubled times.

Toronto-bred, UK-based singer/songwriter Melissa Bel possesses a voice that transcends musical eras and genres. It’s a voice that is timeless and soulful yet distinctly fresh and seamlessly traverses pop, country, blues and even rock. Throughout her career to date, Melissa has performed on stages across the world and opened for artists such as Kylie Minogue at Hampton Court Palace Festival, Maverick Sabre and Joey Landreth. She co-wrote Avril Lavigne’s 2018 single “Tell Me It’s Over” and has collaborated with hit songwriters like Justin Gray, Drew Lawrence, Andrea England and Ryan Cabrera.
Inspired by the likes of The Beatles, Eva Cassidy and John Mayer, her songs have become known for their heartfelt lyrics, enchanting melodies, and indelible hooks. All of these key ingredients can be heard on her newest EP “Alone Time”, a collection of six tracks produced by Kaity Rae (The Shires, Liv Dawson).
The first single from the EP, “Better In the Morning”, came out in July 2021 and received playlist support from Apple Music and was the BBC Introducing Track of the Day on BBC Radio Surrey and BBC Radio Sussex. This was followed by the poignant pandemic-era ballad “People That I Love”, which received praise from Songwriting Magazine and was added to Amazon Music Canada’s Brand New Music playlist.
Melissa moved to the UK in 2016, less than four months after meeting her now-husband on a fateful night in Las Vegas (the details of which can be heard in her song “Real Tonight” from her 2016 EP “In the Light”). Since then, Melissa has achieved a Top 10 in the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts with her single “If She Hadn’t Lied”, received airplay on BBC Radio and performed across the UK including at The Shard, Tower Bridge, Big Feastival, Cornbury Festival, and Dart Fest.
