Mon nom est Thierry Dellys. Je suis né en France, région Pas de Calais. Mon nom de DJ est « Tchie ».
Mon amour pour la musique électronique commence au début des années 90 avec l’arrivée de l’Acid House New Beat et puis la Trance et la Techno.
J’ai commence à sortir en club en Belgique et à découvrir de grands clubs. Pour en citer quelques uns, Boccacio at the villa et en suite Cherry moon, La Rocca, Fuse..
Je me suis pris d’admiration pour ces DJs qui faisaient danser des milliers de gens toute la soirée jusqu’au petit matin, puis je suis parti pour Londres en Janvier 96.
J’ai alors découvert un nouveau son, une nouvelle musique, une nouvelle culture.
Je me suis mis à mixer avec quelques amis tout les week-ends, et j’ai fait mes premiers débuts dans des bars à Londres, et ma première résidence à Pademonium une fois par mois.
J ai ensuite rejoint l’organisation 7 sins, managée par DJ Mish Mash/ Le baron du Mish mash( qui est ensuite devenu mon meilleur ami), et puis d’autres clubs underground, comme The 414, The mass ,The Fridge ,The George IV, et Imperial Garden.
Pour moi DJ n’est pas un métier, c’est une passion, une joie, un amour, un plaisir de faire danser la foule jusqu’au petit matin.
Cette passion est gravée en moi, comme un tatouage sur la peau, à tout jamais.

Ich sags mal einfach so raus: Freut mich außerordentlich das es Euch freut wenn es uns freut das es Euch freut usw... Echt faire Unternehmung das Soundcloud :)) Da lacht das Musik-interessierte Herz :) HINWEIS FÜR DIE NETTEN MENSCHEN/DJs/PRODUCER etc.: In Gottes Namen benennt Eure freigestellten Tracks bzw. Sets doch auch bitte mit Namen wie DJsoundsoundso-After Party irgendwann im nirgendwo usw...!!!! Da Ihr ja alle werben wollt mit Euren Stücken wäre es echt angebracht daran zu denken das Ihr diese Geschenke auch ordentlich tituliert, ist mein Gedanke bei vielen downloadablen Stücken und dann kann ich, wenn mal auf der Platte gespeichert, leider oft nicht mehr sagen wer welch geilen Mix von Euch Meistern/innen all over the world gestiftet hat und teilweise wäre es aber angebracht, als Sammler aller edlen Sessions like yours are for example, auch sogleich möglichst noch viel mehr an Stücken von dem/derjenigen runtersaugen zu können was aber bei null Info (oft nicht einmal der DJ-Name!!)echt schwer möglich ist... lol Da fängt Werbung erst an... oder hört sogleich wieder auf... ;))  Und nachschauen nachträglich wird sich nie wer für eine Benennung eines Sets antun das der Namensträger nicht der Mühe wert fand zu signieren, auch klar. Na dann... ;)) Und mit der Bitte im Voraus auch weiterhin so verdammt dufte Muke zu produzieren/aufzulegen und dann zumindest teilweise frei zu geben! Ich höre mir nämlich mit Sicherheit jedes meiner 100 - 200.000 Sets zumindest einmal an und ehre jede gute DJ-Arbeit mit Freude am Hören und Mundpropaganda im engsten Freundeskreis bzw. wird fleissig mit meinen followern auf SC gechanged... Somit schließt sich der einzigartig gut dastehende Kreis der Soundcloud-User und jeder hat seine Freude dabei liebe Freunde der volkstümlichen Techno-Folklore und ähnlichem "Soundcloudsheaven"! So long! Rock on! Just use your brain (just try at least ;)!) and dont go scary or insane! RESPECT TO ALL DJs who make me often much happier than without the sets!! THX A LOT YOU DJ-FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD! Born in 1978 in Germany, Roul Bauer—better known as Vicious Steam Engine—discovered his passion for techno during the explosive rave movement of the 1990s in Switzerland and Germany. Deeply inspired by the driving rhythms and hypnotic energy of the scene, he carried that passion forward until it fully ignited during the COVID-19 lockdown in August 2020. It was then that his desire to create his own sonic journeys came to life.

A year later, he began producing his own techno tracks and honed his mixing skills through a DJ/mixing workshop with Mixmasters.ch. To sharpen his craft and connect with the underground community, he launched his own podcast on SoundCloud: Hot Pressure Stream. Originally started as a training ground, the podcast quickly gained momentum, attracting a growing audience and guest DJs such as Anne Rosko, Isca Nublar, 909RIOT, Traumtherapie, DJ E-Viction, Tchie, Andy Pirie, Techno X-Citement, DJ Capelli, X-Dream, and Nao Tamura.

Vicious Steam Engine has made guest appearances on several respected underground techno podcasts, including TECNO OSCURO (2 DJ sets), A Darker Wave, Techno Topic by Andy Pirie, and RTDFRAVERRADIO (Brooklyn, NY). He has also been featured on Capelli’s Outta Freak’in Control Podcast, an episodic series that showcases cutting-edge underground talent and airs on RTDFRAVERRADIO.com. His recent guest sets placed him alongside legendary and rising artists such as Frankie Bones, Lenny Dee, Jim Solis, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Rewilder, Chris Liberator, DJ Papa Smrf, Jay Maniakal, DJ Capelli, DJ Hooraa, Bösetecha, Destro187, and Belaroc.

On November 28, 2021, Vicious Steam Engine released his debut EP Dark Dance of Gratitude on TECNO OSCURO, followed by the Kill the Silence EP on April 18, 2022.

Since 2023, he has taken a deep dive into music production, attending two techno retreats hosted by Mixmasters.net in Ibiza. There, he studied with industry legends such as Funk D’Void, Patrik Berg, Harvey McKay, Wehbba, and Josh Wink. He is currently advancing his production skills through an online course in electronic music at Sinee Institute, led by Björn Torwellen, while also mastering the Ableton Push 2.

With relentless dedication to evolving his sound, Vicious Steam Engine continues to build momentum and forge his path in the global techno scene.
