Mayan Warrior is the result of a collaborative project that has united artists, craftsmen, photographers, designers, technologists, architects and musicians from Mexico City and Northern California. 

The project’s original intent was to present to the world the incredible ascent of contemporary Mexican electronic music while paying respect to the deep and ancient sources from which that visual and auditory culture had grown.


Both light and sound are curated by some of the world’s most prominent artists to transport participants to the very origins of the culture – and to a new understanding of contemporary electronic expression.

AND YES: Mayan Warrior is driven from Mexico City to the playa – and back – each year. It's a labor of love and we're glad so many people enjoy it.

BEAT MANEUVA (DJ/Producer/Record Label Owner)

…..Beat Maneuva (Dan Kelly) has been DJ'ing at events from the age of 16, starting off in the free party and illegal rave scene around West Devon in 2004 then progressing on to play sets at clubs and festivals all over the South West UK from Penzance to Exeter, including a 4 year residency for the leading harder brand in the South West Premonition/Distortion. He has supported artists including Showtek, Cosmic Gate, Eddie Halliwell, Lisa Lashes, The Tidy Boys, Richard Durand, Thrillseekers, Mark EG, Organ Donors and many more.

Dan first DJ'd in Ibiza in 2011 when asked to appear on a radio show on British Forces Radio (BFBS) from the world famous Café Mambo Studios, something he has done five times since, he has also played at various nights, bars and boat parties around the island and is heading back to take up a residency for Ultraviolet Ibiza, Turo Turo and weekly appearances for Cirque De La Nuit throughout the summer of 2014. 

His podcast 'The Cyamtic Series' is available on iTunes, Mixcloud and Podomatic and his monthly residency for Heavensgate Deep Sessions airs on BFBS Radio (UK), Zen FM (Spain) and is also syndicated around the world to stations in India, Russia, USA and many more. The Deep Sessions show as part of the main Heavensgate brand has 4 residents on weekly rotation plus showcasing guest mixes from some of the worlds biggest acts including Marco Bailey and Rainer Weichhold.

Dan released his first EP in 2010 and has since released over 40 original tracks and remixes on some of the leading labels in the harder styles. His music has been supported by a selection of big name DJ's including Rank 1, Markus Schulz, Stonebridge, TyDi, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage, Woody Van Eyden, A*S*Y*S, Lost Witness and many many more. His tracks have hit the number 1 spot on the leading download store Trackitdown.net and appeared on the playlists of radio stations all around the globe including America's number 1 trance DJ Christopher Lawrence making 'Devotion' his tune of the month on Rush Hour, which is syndicated to over 120 FM stations worldwide. He has achieved plays on BBC Radio 1 at the hands of Kutksi, several reviews in the leading dance music magazine Mixmag and caught the attention of DJ's from Sydney to Berlin. A winner of the remix contest for the legendary hard dance label Riot! Recordings and a consistently featured artist on Trackitdown.net Dan's music whether it be trance, hard dance or now predominantly house takes influence from many different genre's, his ability to blend all these elements effortlessly in to something fresh and unique has seen him feature on albums for London based labels Bootleg Social Records and Riot! Recordings plus remix for a selection of top international artists and labels. 

In early 2013 Dan decided to concentrate on deep and tech house music, launching a new producer and DJ alias 'Beat Maneuva', his début EP gained support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Steve Aoki, Amine Edge, Alex P and more plus radio plays all over the globe. 

His remix of Martin Villeneuve – Turn Off The Lights on Bootleg Social is out in December 2013 alongside a remix from Ministry of Sound resident Tim Cullen. With several new productions forthcoming and a hard winter in the studio to come 2014 is looking to be a big year for Beat Maneuva!

Dan's record label group Electrik Shandy has been running since 2008 with over 150 releases to date. It has featured artists from all over the globe achieving BBC Radio 1 plays, Mixmag reviews and support from some of the worlds biggest DJ's.

Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that as in the late 80’s. In 2014 he celebrated 25 years of Marco Bailey, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer. 

He grew up in Belgium, and it all started out when he went to a small local club in his nearby city. At this point, he knew little and didn't have any musical heroes, but soon released that he would rather be behind the decks than on the dance floor. 

His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox’s Intec imprint with “Play It Back”. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002 with “Caprioska”. The releases came flowing over the next few years, which saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Rube Boy” album back in 2004, soon followed by “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock in 2011.

His most recent album was with 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013 on MB Elektronics, dubbed by some techno aficionados as a masterpiece. It was at this time, he also released an up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey”.

His Electronic Force radio show has been a huge success from the get-go, with almost 300 episodes to date, he has had every artist on board from Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Carlo Lio. It’s heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries.

Marco has been touring relentlessly throughout his career, he’s an artist who can say he has probably played at almost every club in the world, and been listed at the top of major festivals. He hasn't stopped, and this summer was no exception his MATERIA brand taking a new home at Vista Club, Ibiza. Every Sunday, he offered artists including Sam Paganini, Carlo Lio, Julian Jewell, and Paul Ritch for the closing on the 28th August all came out to party with Marco and the crowd.

You can expect to see the MATERIA brand reach far and wide this year, with parties in London, Vienna, Amsterdam and Tokyo planned this winter. Mid October will see the release of the MATERIA compilation mix, a collection of tracks selected personally by Marco, of both his own releases and all the artists which played at MATERIA in Ibiza this summer. 

2017 continues to be another landmark year for Marco, with his first MATERIA residency considered a huge success, the brand looks to move worldwide, becoming a high-profile label and radio show as well and continuing to grow. He is a true pioneer of Techno, and has no plans to put on the brakes anytime soon.
