English Guns are a 5 piece punk band with ska, rockabilly and metal influences. Formed in November 2014. We draw inspiration from a multitude of musicians including Matt Freeman of Rancid, and Jim Heath of Reverend Horton Heat.

English Guns' sound is comprised of fast, technical bass lines. The guitars swap from clean ska driven rhythms to fast, high-gain riffs. The drums bring a consistently fast and technical element to the band's sound. All of which support the raspy vocals and fist pumping gang vocals. The sound can be compared to bands like Rancid, Leftover Crack and Dropkick Murphys

MILLER BLACK is not just a Hip Hop, RnB and Dancehall DJ - she is an experience. Best described as a party starter, crowd pleaser and great host, she is no stranger to energizing the crowd and taking control of the dancefloor. With long flowing mixes that seamlessly blend one track into the next, and her signature open format style, DJ MILLER BLACK plays no two sets alike.

London born, with Caribbean roots, her sound reflects this cultural fusion. She’ll segue from smooth R&B and hip hop, to afro-swing, to the best reggae and dancehall riddims, never failing to cause a sweat on the dancefloor. Entirely self-taught, MILLER BLACK learnt to DJ after the death of her grandparents as a coping mechanism and means of bringing the family together. With its humbled roots, her sound continues to unify and uplift crowds across the nation.

MILLER BLACK has quickly established herself as one of the most in-demand DJ’s in the UK’s underground music scene. She can be found at London’s monthly award-winning LGBT night, LICK events, or touring internationally with hip hop artist Ms. Banks. She has also worked alongside the likes of Little Simz, Nick cannon, Dej Loaf and Cardi B, and has spun her magic at several music festivals including Glastonbury, Wireless, Nass, Ibiza Rocks, SunDown and Spotify (Who We Be).

Recording artist and songwriter Trust-LoKey has been on the Music Scene for as early as he can remember, with influences such as Nas, MosDef, The Lost Boyz, Biggy Smalls and the LOX among others, his many experiences during his life made him the individual he is today.

From a little crack in da world, DMV, Trust was born in Takoma Park MD and raised on both sides of the MD/DC line. With a Father from West Africa and a Mother from Jamaica, Trust is in himself a melting pot of booming culture. He is the first nephew of well -respected Uptown DC gangster rapper “Rapture” aka Cube, who he credits as planting the seed that grew into his everlasting interest and fascination of the art and culture of hip-hop, or what he would call a growing addiction that he can’t seem to kick. 

Today Trust does whatever he can to make ends meet but would much rather prefer it be something “Legal” as he would quote; but even more than that, something that he actually loves to do and feels he does best. With his new “Family or Nothing” campaign, he and his team of cousins and brothers, collectively known as the 211 Crew, are literally strong arming their position on the music scene and solidifying their place at the table, as one of the most influential and ever relevant movements coming out of the DMV region. 

Trust’s one of kind raspy like voice, uniquely complements his versatile flows, presenting a new and gritty, yet captivating, sound. As Trust explains it, “I remember when it used to be fun to be rap along with the songs you would hear on the radio….Can’t really say that’s the case though now and days……when I put down a verse, I aim to make it something my fans can’t get enough of, with lyrics and flows that they never get tired of repeating.”

Not only is Trust fully devoted to his music, but he has recently placed it upon himself and vowed to carry on the torch for all of his fallen comrades, and to achieve true “Immortality,” making an undying name for himself, as well as his camp, telling their stories and inspiring through song, with his God given abilities to create “Crankage” or “Immortal Music” as he would call it.

In my all-encompassing adoration of music, I’ve always been a man’s lady for the most part, probably because I came of age during the transcendent 60s when madcap genius madmen were becoming myths overnight. A tumultuous decade when Dylan turned rock and roll into cuisine for deep thought and George Harrison taught us to turn on, tune in and wake up. A few femmes have banged my gong through the years – Janis, of course, Chrissie, Patty Griffin, Lucinda -- and recently I was introduced to another female whose praises I can gladly sing -- a self- aware, tousled platinum blond wildchild, Sie Sie Benhoff. She’s about to release her first full-length album, crammed with feisty fearless self-reflection, beaten up by love but unbroken, wanton, woozy hot-tempered tunes, recorded live in three days in Brooklyn, NY. A Texas transplant, now residing in east Hipsville, L.A. Sie Sie has been singing most of her life, started speaking in tongues at age two and stopped playing it safe a long time ago. “I just came out of the vagina singing,” Sie Sie tells me in her raspy drawl, “I never really had any choice in the matter. It’s my outlet, which often isn’t fun, but it has to come out some kind of way. I consider my songs redemption songs.” Raised all over the world with her missionary Pentecostal parents, Sie Sie sang the gospel until age 17 when she realized the people in West Africa didn’t need saving. “I closed my eyes and sang the universal word, Hallelujah for about fifteen minutes straight, and when I looked up I saw everyone in the tent with their faces on the ground. I had an awakening moment you could call a denouncement of my faith. They were fine before I got there! I was done.” Despite the promise of hellfire damnation, Sie Sie set her own course, dove
into the deep end for awhile, and is now releasing her anger and angst through her music. “I was too crazy. I sometimes say to myself, ‘OK bitch, cool. Take it easy!’ The first record I ever heard was Dylan’s Slow Train Coming. Just recently I realized how it really shaped me. I’ve been praying again, ‘please get me out of bed.’ The good news is now I feel I have a purpose. I know what is truly
important to me; I have an ability to provoke emotion, and helping
people feel is my main objective.” Veering from a throaty howl to little girl longing, Sie Sie pleads, demands, cajoles, and admits she’s “off her rocker,” with aching old soul aplomb and unfettered awareness. Americana/gospel/rock, whatever you decide to call her music, Sie Sie’s songs will crack your heart open wide and maybe even heal it. “I just never hold back,” Sie Sie says, “My boyfriends tell me to tone it down. ‘I like it when you’re a little more modest.’ Baby, that's not me. Sometimes I’m bleeding and I feel that thing – I’m bloodthirsty, so watch out. "
