FireFly - Unplugged (With Lisha & Olivier)

Un grand merci à Lena pour cette fabuleuse interprétation, sa voix est à mon goût une des meilleures que j'ai pu entendre .. 
"Mathieu" est le héros du film "une place au soleil" de rené VAQUIER, j'avais utilisé à l'époque "vocalise" pour obtenir la voix que l'entend sur la musique originale, mais la voix de Lena apporte des émotions supplémentaires, une couleur différente, une sorte de magie .. pour reprendre les mots de mon ami Steph OUNA, c'est comme si il y avait un instrument supplémentaire !!! 

Cette version a été faite le 14 Mars 2019 en même temps que la version soft et mise en ligne le 7 Mai 2019 en hommage à mon père, pour apaiser un peu ma peine qui ne cesse de grandir, il repose en paix depuis le 7 Mai 1992.

The shadows of our past sometimes slowly and unkowingly creep back into our lives. Then it's time to deal with them!

This composition is my submission to the Facebook Group "Piano Soundboard" Crescendo Challenge https://www.facebook.com/events/2821677301182845/
I combined my latest composition https://soundcloud.com/user-630984439/drifting-apart which until now I had considered still unfinished and the piano melody of an older one https://soundcloud.com/user-630984439/another-friday. They happen to use the same chords and complement each other in one big crescendo.

Shadows Of Our Past

This song is about the counterpart to love: hatred and the associated need for revenge and retaliation. 
Another collaboration with my son Freddy (played parts of the guitar and percussion). And my attempt to play the piano as the main instrument and to accompany my singing with it.

Lyrics in English:

Shards

Body scent, swan song, everything's destroyed
War, poisoning, the smell of garbage, it's all worth nothing

Only shards that cut into me
to feed on my anguish

OFF or On Fucking Fire...

I saw John Oliver's Last Week Tonight with  Bill Nye's impassioned plea for the environment.  The mention of 4-8 degrees is scary and in the days and weeks following.. I found it difficult to shake the words.  

It's a game changer for humanity..as an artist all I can offer is my music. To provide the canvas on which their words may be painted in a new and different way.  I found some of Bill's friends to help him drive the point home.  I hope you enjoy it!
