I've done some 12-tone-like work in my early experimental days of making music, but very little of it.  It's an acquired taste for sure, but nice work with this 'movement'. :)

12-tone...we had that at school, some 12-tone pieces are hard listening to, more effects than music, but this is different here, reminds me even a little Bach (though Back was a lot earlier), walking through several different keys which could also be labeld as 12-tone......nice work

It's quite rare to hear attractive and convincing things, in a ‘classical’ style, on SC. But there are many here, in this account. Bravo and respect, Mark!

I enjoyed this very much, especially after a few listens and it’s inspired an interest in this style of composing. Thanks for sharing this piece!

XII- Concerning Fate 

A change is as good as a rest, they say 
What once worked well may fail today
Investing hope in stilted schemes
Adds little to our lasting dreams
For what was rich and bountiful
Can all too quickly fade away.

But must I change from comfort kind?
Sweet leisure, calm, yet anodyne 
That void those doubts upon my conscience played
Which speak of virtue lost, and plans unmade
As fate corrupts familiar design,
My ailing mind, fair hopes evade

The grounding motus falls to shreds,
A tapestry reduced to threads
That I strive, in lieu of indecision
To clutch upon small mercies given
And stumble ‘cross a fallen altar 
By raging storm, that blasts the granite tomb
Within which my youth is buried (yet to which I must return).
