Droids Disco

It's been a while since I last wrote anything and to be honest, I was really worried that I would never be able to write anything again. I just totally lost my mojo.  So, this short ambient instrumental may not be the best but it means something to me. It means that there is hope. Always.

Timeless

When I saw the film 'Das Boot' for the first time, I was overwhelmed. To understand what life might have been like as a submariner in WW2 was both enlightening and terrifying. Many years on, the theme tune popped into my head for no reason at all and within an hour I had written a short homage to it. Another four years on and I have returned to update the track. I hope you like it.

Wake up

About three days ago this track came up randomly on the HinT-Pod while driving. I found myself enjoying the space and felt a calmness roll over me. I got to thinking about releasing some older tracks, and decided why not. I made a deal with the universe. Get me a picture of a Rabbit, and I will put it up on Soundcloud. Today, a bunny came up to the porch and just stood there while I took a picture. Then it hopped away.

Here we are.

This is heavily inspired by Watership Down, the novel by Richard Adams. I was contemplating how it would feel to be a rabbit in that novel's world. This is a calming and humbling feeling to me, and I hope this causes the listener both clarity and calmness as we all deal with the world around us. We can all be a little more kind. A little more bold. A little more understanding and accepting. A little more Fiver, and a little more Hazel. If you have the reference, I encourage you to contemplate it as you listen. Hopefully we will revisit this tune at a later date.

On a side note, the voice at the end is my good friend Trevor. I wanted to throw him some love as it was his computer and house this was recorded in. Way back in the day. He wrote a piano melody I liked on a out of tune piano. We may recreate that one day.
