This is beautiful lounge ballad that I composed in 2020 after watching 'Normal People' on BBCThree whilst in lockdown.
It is a story of a steamy summer romance between two young people who are poles apart in their popularity in their sixth form college.
Produced between myself and Colin Guthrie who plays all acoustic guitar and mixed the track beautifully x

This is my latest release and I wrote it earlier on in 2021 after experiencing a few months of online trolling and general nastiness!

You Don't Know Me - Kelly Cresswell

Rough sketches is the long time collaboration of even longer time friends Paul Russell and Anthony Ford. 

Like all things 'Rough Sketches', this was an unplanned happy accident. Originally born from nothing more than a Lyric with no melody or tune written by Paul which Anthony felt he would like to work on. 

Over time they would share ideas through friendship, shared musical influences and a mutual respect for each other's opinion. Text messages and emails were shared, with nothing more than "Ive done this" or "I've got this idea". Anthony would respond with "What do you think? It's only a rough sketch" referrering to acoustic recordings made on his mobile phone. Without conscious thought, they both realised they had 5 or 6 songs that they were both proud of and they realised they were half way towards an album.

What took it's genesis as a caveat had now become a hook line and the working title of the album was aptly named 'Rough Sketches'. The formula that had worked in the past continued and they worked on completing the album. Names for the collaboration were discussed, but nothing seemed to fit until one day Anthony made the suggestion of "calling ourselves 'Rough Sketches"'. As soon as this was suggested, both knew that no other name would fit...and 'Rough Sketches' were born.
