Hey everyone. 2024 is coming. I sincerely hope that it will be a good year for everyone. I uploaded my performance of this song here because I wanted my friends to know that the gut strings on my electric acoustic guitar have finally calmed down. The strings have become accustomed to the guitar and I no longer hear any squeaks. Do not you think so? 

I chose this song because it's one of the songs I always play when tuning my guitar. Just set the capo on the 7th fret and play a simple chord like D, G, A7 or D, G, E and you're done. I'm a beginner when it comes to nylon string guitars, so this would be the perfect song for me to try out. I would like all of you who are practicing guitar to take this opportunity to master it. Also, I recently learned that this work, one of The Beatles' works, became the most listened to song of The Beatles' works on Spotify in 2021. It's a work that is popular all over the world.

When I listened to the recorded version myself, I was surprised at how simple it was, with no drums or bass, just a nylon string guitar solo. Should I play it again later with a pick and re-record it, or should I play it very slowly and re-record it, or should I change the position of the capo tasto and change the key of the performance? I had a lot of hesitation, but I decided to leave it as is, thinking that this was a record of me practicing to get used to playing the nylon string guitar and sharing it with you all. In other words, rather than getting confused at this stage, if you could sing along with this recording out loud, the weakness of this recording being too simple and lonely would be quickly overcome. I realized that it would be better to move on to the next step as soon as possible. So, I started thinking that my next step would be to try playing this nylon string guitar along with someone's amazing vocals on SoundCloud.

This time, I played one of Led Zeppelin's signature songs, "Stairway to Heaven," on a nylon string electric acoustic guitar.
This song is included on Led Zeppelin's fourth album. The album sold over 29 million copies worldwide and was certified platinum in the United States.
Like all guitarists who consider themselves avid Led Zeppelin fans, I love this song and often play it lightly when tuning my guitar. I omitted the effect processing and simply adjusted the volume and uploaded it. I noticed that it sounded more boosted than when recording the chord strokes in the second half. Since it's a Led Zeppelin piece, I thought it might not be a bad idea to listen to it in this condition.
Personally, I hope that everyone can feel that the nylon strings (end type) that come with the two electric acoustic guitars fit perfectly into the guitar itself.
Winter is over in Japan, and we are about to enter the spring season, but I chose this piece as the final part of this winter's nylon string solo performance series. After this, I'm starting to look forward to the possibility of using a nylon string guitar to complete some of the collaborative pieces that I've been unable to complete.

My take on a most unusual song by a beloved genius. His bass playing in this is what fascinated me, so I lean heavily into it. I can't replicate the original breakdown, so improvised my own. I hope it is not perceived as a disservice to the original.

What to say about Maximilian?
There are so many things to be told: a lifetime of 24 years, full of special moments, joys, fears, sorrows, worries, hopes, dreams, ups, downs, progress, regress, searching, finding, winning, losing, restlessness, peace...
His life had begun with an extremely difficult birth, almost as if the world didn’t want him. They told us he had a life-threatening infection, there were probably holes in his lungs and he obviously had no kidneys. In total, his chances of surviving were exceedingly slim. However, after endless weeks of both despair and hope, he overcame the infection, the diagnosis of holes in his lungs turned out to be totally wrong and they even discovered a kidney.  Just one maybe but at least it worked perfectly.  His journey into existence had begun.
As he grew, so did the never-ending nightmare of problems, challenges and battles, until we began to wonder what could possibly happen next.  Through it all, Max took every opportunity to accumulate extreme experiences - never hiding, always   seeking.  For that, we loved him even more…and even more it broke our hearts that we couldn’t help him find what he was looking for.
But suddenly, as the Summer of 2011 dawned, his troubles seemed to merely fade away.  Was he just arriving in life, coming of age, finding his place in society?  To be honest, we hadn’t the faintest idea.  But it was abundantly clear that, having always been an underdog, that same unwelcoming world had simply started to like and respect him.  He began to realise his many talents, enjoying his job as never before, finally becoming something he had never been - happy.
Fast forward to the gorgeous Summer evening of June 28th, the eve of a 4-week vacation to which he had been looking forward so very much.  A smile on his face, he said he was in the mood to go jogging, something he loved. Sometimes, he ran and ran for ages.  He’d been gone about 3 hours, quite a long time even for him, so Carina called his phone and he answered, cheerfully telling her not to worry and assuring her he’d be home very soon.  Seconds after the call, out of the blue, he collapsed.  A pulmonary embolism.  They told us he died instantly.

This song began as an idea Tez came up with on his guitar while on holiday not far from his home in Wales. It had such a solid form, it inspired Mark to write lyrics and come up with vocal melodies within a few days of hearing it for the first time. The two of them have written several songs like this, making them a solid songwriting source for Eclectic Collective.

Once the song had a even more solid form, Ken took added his dynamic, bouncy-groove drums to it. As soon as Ken had the drums down, Josh took his turn, adding the fretless bass and solidifying the groove. Now that the basic framework was done, Stephen added his thrilling electric guitar. Last, but certainly not least, JJ added his really cool psych synth part in the two bridges. Mark also added some awesome backing synth to it, as well, filling out the sound. At the very end of the process, Tez also dropped in the hot intro and outro solos, as well.

Once we had it all in the can, it was time to turn it over to Tez for his expert production and mix. He came up with the idea of adding reverb to the drums, as well as some other compression tricks, which he employed with subtle style.

This, as mentioned, is a great example of what Eclectic Collective can do in house with the composition and songwriting skills of Tez and Mark. The rest of us really had fun working on this one, too, of course. We hope you enjoy listenig to this as much as we enjoyed making it.
