LIBERATION AT THE END OF A FIRST LOVE

This time, I played one of Led Zeppelin's signature songs, "Stairway to Heaven," on a nylon string electric acoustic guitar.
This song is included on Led Zeppelin's fourth album. The album sold over 29 million copies worldwide and was certified platinum in the United States.
Like all guitarists who consider themselves avid Led Zeppelin fans, I love this song and often play it lightly when tuning my guitar. I omitted the effect processing and simply adjusted the volume and uploaded it. I noticed that it sounded more boosted than when recording the chord strokes in the second half. Since it's a Led Zeppelin piece, I thought it might not be a bad idea to listen to it in this condition.
Personally, I hope that everyone can feel that the nylon strings (end type) that come with the two electric acoustic guitars fit perfectly into the guitar itself.
Winter is over in Japan, and we are about to enter the spring season, but I chose this piece as the final part of this winter's nylon string solo performance series. After this, I'm starting to look forward to the possibility of using a nylon string guitar to complete some of the collaborative pieces that I've been unable to complete.

On our recent trip to Italy, one of the places we stayed was Monterosso, one of the 5 villages in Cinque Terre. From our patio, we were able to see Il Gigante looking out over the ocean. I am pleased to announce this new music collaboration, Il Gigante di Monterosso - Feat: Sergei Govorov, celebrating the beauty of Italy.  Listen to Sergei's music on Spotify and Apple Music.
Sergei Govorov completed his doctoral degree at the Gnessin Academy of Music in Moscow with the highest honors.  In 2022, Sergei moved to the United States.  Sergei's repertoire ranges from classical saxophone to avant-garde, jazz, and pop. He has performed over 4,000 concerts worldwide.  For the last year I have been writing music for the sax and piano duo, Govorov & De Groot.  Sergei Govorov and Britta De Groot have performed my music in Colorado and have future plans for more concerts and possible recordings.

What happens if "Dust In the Wind" meets "Classical Gas"?  I sought to answer that profound question one morning when I was riffing on an A-minor chord and couldn't think of another way to describe this acoustic concoction. I couldn't think of a better name for it either, but seemed to have a "ballad" feel to it, either about a hero or villain, I'll let you decide, and maybe catch a "catnap" thinking about it:)

Well hello… are we having fun yet as we travel around the sun? First off, I do not know how to play piano. Bear with me on this. I am just learning hand and finger placement on the keyboard. I did not use any of that to do this song. Ha. A friend just gave me an older electronic keyboard that he dug out from all the dusty junk in his shed. So I have been noodling about and learning a bit of music along the way. I am also testing glass, as a percussion instrument. I already broke my favorite glass slide. (Just get a drum set Dude!) Hahaha. I am also exploring my vocal range, as an advanced beginner, when it comes to singing. You’ll hear that on this track, as the song is in a higher register than I am used to singing in. The first vocal stanza is just me finding my voice. Hahahaha. (I guess I need to try some pre-singing.) The recorder works but isn’t in the key of the song, so I had to wing in, insofar as melodies. That is what I like about music, these little creative explorations that develop into ‘music’. I had about an hour or so to lay this down… Outside summer distractions have cut into my music time. Firstly on easy listening 6/4 bars, I cut some notes out of the main theme so as to give it dynamism, and finally obtained a prime amalgam of 17 quarter notes. I hid any recognizable thing in the accompaniment, and for the organic lines (voice and guitars) I tried the strong rhythm would not fix too much the melodies, first paying a lot of attention, and finally ... just letting me go.
