The BBC has obtained first-hand accounts from migrants who claim they’ve been illegally deported from the European Union by Polish border troops. EU members Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have each declared a state of emergency amid a surge of thousands of people trying to cross from Belarus. The EU has accused the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of using migrants as weapons - by luring them in and then sending them towards EU countries. Poland has banned aid workers and journalists from its border zone  - but our Europe Correspondent Nick Beake travelled to the area and has just sent this report.

The deal struck at last month's COP26 climate summit in Glasgow saw global leaders pledge to reduce carbon emissions and use less coal.  But the commitments are not legally binding, so many campaigners - especially younger ones – are taking other legal action, to make sure leaders keep their environmental promises. Our Europe Correspondent Nick Beake has been meeting some of the young activists.

Greeks go to the polls this weekend, with the centre right government hoping to cling to power. But there have been a number of scandals in the past few years and at the start of March the country suffered its worst ever train crash. Greece’s economy is actually now among the fastest growing in the EU after a decade of pain from re-paying creditors that helped the country avoid bankruptcy back in 2010 – although few Greeks say they’re feeling better off. Our Europe Correspondent Nick Beake has spent the last few days meeting voters and sent this report.
