After watching the news about the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland, the four-piece post-rock band Laxá composed the first track of their new album as a result. 

Entititled "Eldensgill," which translates as "Fire Angel", it melds post rock and classical elements provided by the Heima Quartet.

The band members are:

In my younger years, I loved going for day trips in the bush and also camping in the bush on the east coast of Australia. That helped me to connect with nature and was a very calming influence. This song celebrates that experience.
