I was inspired to write this song after listening to Janne Hennie's song 'My future me' which is here on Soundcloud.  I wrote the song in country/folk style which I think works for these lyrics. If you like the song, I would really appreciate your like, comments and repost if you feel it worthy!

My earliest real memory
Is of playing in the sand
On a beach with a crashing sea
Building castles with my dad

In younger days I knew it all
I was the best a boy could be
There was no-one who could match me
Another level of naive

As I grew I soon learned
Sandcastles don’t last long
So life gave me some mountains
I guess they made me strong

I learned so much about myself
I lost count of my mistakes
