this year for me was full of drive by’s. unexpected twists and turns. things i never imagined i would have to face, i’ve had to face this year. and sometimes all at once—so much so that it felt violent. more than just a girl, i wrote this song to articulate what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by being blindsided by something. even though there was a specific girl that did this to me, who i really saw myself being in love with, it’s bigger than that and her. so yeah
