Meet The Tiptons Sax Quartet (minus their drummer Robert Kainar) Amy Denio, Jessica Lurie, Sue Orfield and Tina Richarson.  Each an accomplished musician/composer/educator in their own right, they've been playing together for decades, and they have a new record out Wabi Sabi which is upbeat and jazzy and really fun!

Originally they were called The Billy Tipton Memorial Sax Quartet, so named in honor of Billy Tipton, a musician and Booking Agent, whose life is an example of courage and commitment to creativity and service.

Aditya Prakash returns to Paradigms to share his new single Virahe, a song that celebrates and laments the love and loss in the story of Krishna and Rada, as a metaphor for the separations we've been experiencing through the Covid pandemic. She’s been a musician for decades, and is currently in a band called Neem with her husband Rick Schloegl, son Nimai Williams, and friend Nathan Wrench. Sally’s songs tend to be personal, and speak to cares and concerns that humans share. The conversation is informal and covers such controversies as police brutality and forced vaccinations, and of course we hear some of Sally’s music and some songs from Neem.

In this book Yoeke tells the story, quilted together over decades of research, of her Grandmother Jeanne van Emden, a member of the Dutch Resistance during WWII. This is the story of Yoeke's family who were persecuted by Nazis; of a courageous woman, and her children, who lived, and about some who didn't come back from the camps.

Searching is an engaging read, a collection of memories and information woven together into one story. The writing is really good, as is the English translation (the book was written in Dutch).

Searching is also a powerful message for all people now, as we see fascism rising, leaders who are similar to those that drove the fascism of the early 20th century, and the need for courage and resistance.
