I am launching a series of EPs in 2021, following on the back of my carbon neutral album campaign last year, that also aim to raise awareness. This time, I invite you to turn inward and ruminate on how you want to BE in the world: be conscious, be strong and be light. Each EP revives tracks from Atmosphere (2020) and offers reworks, remixes and renditions, all with climate change deep at the heart of Wojtek's DNA but with a shift towards mindfulness and wellness, aiming to support the activist community, and not only.

Lliwia means Colours. It's a song written about childbirth. All the colours you can see when you close your eyes and the instant love that you feel for this soul that comes out. 

Tincian is 9Bach's second album. It's an atmospheric, emotional record that reflects their home environment of Gerlan, North Wales. As Lisa Jen explains, 'tincian can mean a lot of things, to move with a tinkling sound, to ring and make a clear sound. Depending on what area of Wales you are from, the meaning varies. It comes to life in dialogue when you use sentences like "I gave him such a talking to, he didn't know what had hit him...he was 'tincian'." It's almost like a cartoon image of someone's head being hit by a hammer'.

Basalt is a duo project from 2001. There are only a few tracks which still exist of this project. Somehow I found this in my archives the last days and think it´s still worth to share. Could be possible this also has been out on a compilation back then. I have 2-3 other tracks I will share the next weeks.

Following Javier Bergia’s compilation album Eclipse, Emotional Rescue returns to Spain for the follow up in Ishinohana. New Age, Jazz Fusion and Eastern influences are prominent, mixing electric and classic Spanish guitar with Indian and Japanese influenced percussion to a spiritual perfection.

A project bringing together Javier Bergia and friends Luis Delgado and Manuel Illán, Ishinohana sees these masters mesh the influences of rock, new age and Eastern percussion in to a cohesive whole.

With a nod to the influence of Pat Metheny throughout, Le Flor De Piedra is removed from their works in Finas Africae or as solo artists, allowing each to flourish in their craft with the framework of a group setting.   Delgado is prominent. His guitar playing ties the album together and his production looks as much to the albums of 70s and early 80s America than to Japan, where the background for the album is set.

While New Age and Jazz Fusion are oft considered areas to avoid, it’s actually the more discerning ear that realises these genres are some of the deepest and most free forms of musical expression.

The passion within Le Flor De Piedra displays as such. To not stop, listen and understand songs like Delta and Lucia and their ethereal reproach would be a travesty. The reissue of such a cult album is something worth more than that.

A wonderfully immersive suite of five stunning new tracks, ‘Shifts’ expands upon Swedish-Iranian pianist / composer Shida Shahabi’s debut album and confirms her as a genuine new force in contemporary piano music.

Without radically departing from the ‘Homes’ blueprint, this time around her pallette is expanded, with the opening three tracks seeing the prominent addition of cello, intertwining with piano to provide a powerfully emotive sweep and drone. These parts were provided by Linnea Olsson, who Shida calls "an old musician friend of mine and without a doubt the best cellist I know in Sweden.”

Recorded by Shida and Elias Krantz, the record was mixed by Hampus Norén and mastered at Calyx by Francesco Donadello (Jóhann Jóhannsson, Modeselektor & Thom Yorke, A winged Victory for the Sullen, Dustin O'Halloran, Lubomyr Melnyk, Hauchka, etc).
