I Remember looking up at the decks hoping to get a slot, wishing I was behind those decks 🎧🙏🏽 ..
 Yes it was a dream ..that became a reality..💙
With hard work,desire,determination,passion, dedication, you can make things happen , In any field you wish to choose,  if your willing to put in the graft and make sacrifices , side step distractions , And stay focused.. Don't expect things to be handed to you on a plate ..

Amnesia House - 35 Years Of Rave 1.4.23 - Shock C

Back in the spring of 91 there was a lot of noise coming from the south coast and one night in July a car load of us drove down to Worthing from South London to see what all the fuss was about. This club was similar to The Eclipse in terms of the sounds...ruff & tuff hardcore, breaks, Belgian/NYC techno and everything in between. It was crazy. We had a few more down at Sterns and a couple of one off parties in Brighton. This was the sound of the Summer 91 for me...bloody hectic period all told but you could never forget - long live Sterns!

Here's a mix dedicated to my first ever live experience of Rave culture when I went to see DJ Carl Cox play at Obsession in Wormlow, Herefordshire in early 1992. That night was also my first ever experience with a small Red & Yellow capsule nicknamed 'Rhubarb & Custard'.... ;)

That was one hell of a game changing night for me, with tune after tune of old school piano, rave and Techno all blended together in a way only Carl Cox can. Pretty much from that moment on I've been addicted to collecting and mixing 12 inches of black plastic together, lost in my own little world of this thing called house!

As with all my DJ mixes, this was recorded on two Technics 1210's.

I used to play these tunes back in the day at Omalley's Hotel in Brougham Street Kings Cross, Sydney. The morning recovery parties were always more fun than the night before. With seated bean bags, hand delivered fruit platters and party friendly, just awesome! After hours of hearing tunes & catching up with friends over recovery beers, under Popeye, I would play these piano sets to a full crowd into the evening - those were the days. 

100% Vinyl Mix on 1210's. Recorded on Abelton Live and slightly pitched up. Full length mixes, no splice & dice or mega mixes.
