HUJUS is a Haarlem based techno artist who likes to take you on energetic night club journeys. His name is an abbreviation for the Latin word ‘Hujus Pace' which means ‘prevailing calm/inner peace' and let this be the mental state he takes you to during your interactions with his craft. At the age of 3, HUJUS started playing the piano and got exposed to many different genres like Pop, RnB and Jazz. His interest in electronic music started at the age of 14 when he started his first artistic project as an electronic producer and DJ in the Future Bass and Electronic Pop scene. But after many years of performing in night clubs, HUJUS finally came to life in 2022. With his modern and structured techno sound he had an amazing debut year with shows at e.g., Sneeuwbal Festival, Het Sieraad, Patronaat Haarlem which eventually led to his debut EP which came out in early 2023 on Autektone Dark.

A renowned global talent, Iceland's Exos was last on Mutual Rytm earlier this year with his successful 'Infrared' EP in April. The debut release on the label's new 10" vinyl X-Series, the EP picked up a wealth of high-profile plays while delivering an absorbing journey through techno soundscapes. The release was followed up by his 'Evil Nation'

LP, exploring a harder, more intense approach to techno on his own Planet X imprint, ext to tunes on the likes of Figure and X/OZ. However, he returns with more skilfully crafted ammunition across five stand-out productions and two digital bonus gems on SHDW's burgeoning imprint for a second outing packed with his trademark sound spanning mystic yet driving and impactful spheres.

The package opens up with 'Voices Of Volcano', a powerful track with a monstrous low end and quickened drum kicks that compel you to march in time as the twisted synths peel away up top. 'Enter The Danger' has a steamy feel, as if racing through a humid jungle with the sounds of bird calls and haunting voices next to the loopy percussion and driving rhythms.

The brilliant 'Icebreaker' keeps up the intensity with more precision drumming working dancers into a meditative state while the cosmic synths grow up out of the groove to become bright and unsettling. 'Mocoa Beats' is another warm techno cut that fizzes with synth energy and unfolds like an ancient ritual, while 'Chicat' brings some sensuality to the party with whispered, intimate vocals over more macho and unrelenting drums. Bonus tracks 'Codebreaker' and 'Spliffmatch' round out this high-grade EP of timeless techno in style, offering a unique closing treat for digital purchasers.

Tresor Records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down. Three of the finest in this collection were contributed by Surgeon​; “Basictonalvocabulary”, “Balance” and “Force + Form” all originally came out on the Berlin institution between ‘97 and ‘99. 

Surgeon’s inimitable post-industrial sounds emanating from his British homeland found its fullest expression in this masterful trio of releases. Tresor Records have decided that its high time to give these seminal albums another airing and will present each in a staggered series of 2LP represses throughout the year, while releasing a special 3CD box on June 8th.

Conform Records has built a reputation as one of the most respected independent labels in global techno music since its inception in 1997. Founded in Naples, Italy by Gaetano Parisio, the artistic vision behind Conform was to create a style of techno that represented the Neapolitan sound - one that was divergent from the Detroit and Berlin techno sounds, which were musically and geographically separate from Naples at that time. 

The platform has featured releases from well-respected producers like Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, C&G Southsystem (Marco Carola & Gaetano Parisio), Danilo Vigorito, Davide Squillace, Gaetek, Innersound, Markantonio, Qmen, Stanny Franssen and The Advent. The label is focussed on one musical thread, always trying to offer quality music created for artistic, non-commercial purposes. This sentiment has remained the same since the time it was founded and developed. 

Now after a fifteen-year hiatus, Conform Records is back - starting with the Conform Re-Touched Series which invites renowned and respected artists to re-touch classic tracks from the labels back catalogue.
