Over The Rainbow - Piano solo cover

A collaborative project with Steve Kastor and Kenton Dick giving a guitar and piano duo performance with electronic elements that narrates their personal journeys in 2020.

Steve Kastor is a multi-instrumentalist/producer who resides in Victoria, British Columbia. His creativity comes from the intermixing of various genres and styles. Steve’s first release was his Electronic Endeavors EP followed by Bedroom Beattapes under the alias “HolisticB”. His latest EP release MVNT

Kenton Dick is a multi-instrumentalist/composer who currently resides in Nanaimo, British Columbia. He won best original composition for small ensemble for DownBeat Magazine in 2016, and has performed/collaborated with professional jazz musicians across Canada and the United States. Linds (Lindsey Bellman) is an independent musician/producer from Calgary, Alberta who has been writing and recording music since a young age. Primarily self-taught, she plays guitar, electric bass, and piano and records her own vocals for all of the music she writes.

Zastrugi Fields is a post-rock band originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia, made up of three high-school friends with a similar taste in music and a strong desire for innovation – Eric Lusk-Jopson on guitar, Eric Turko on guitar and keyboards, and Taylor LeBlond on bass. Their influences include ambient, shoegaze, post-punk and folk records, as well as the backdrop of the forests and mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

Chris Clarke is a self-produced pianist based in Victoria, BC. His background in jazz piano has served as a gateway to many genres and musical projects, including acoustic jazz recordings, and full band R&B productions. In his most recent project for solo piano, Clarke distills this musical palette and takes a minimalist approach to his neoclassical compositions.

Ensembles in Exile explores the intersection between electronic, ambient, and acoustic sounds, combined with field recordings from the natural world. Sirens - Ensembles in Exile

a w a s h is a new experimental electroacoustic group that blends psychoacoustic effects into minimal ambient music to help people wind down and focus. Their first EP entitled, “Somnia,” features Colin Malloy on tongue drum and was produced by Adi Laflamme. The group plans to produce more music using binaural beats and solfeggio frequencies to help listeners achieve specific desired brain states. 

Colin Malloy is a doctoral candidate in the school of music at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. Colin studies percussion and is a multi-instrumentalist with an emphasis on steel pan. This EP was a recorded improvised session in the Create Lab at the University of Victoria. 

Adi Laflamme is a master’s degree candidate in the music technology program in the school of music also at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. Adi has an academic background in cultural anthropology and has been producing and composing electronic music in Ableton Live for ten years.
