First song I am posting in 2024!

This is what I wrote in 2013 when I first thought about posting Nothing But (The Sound) but decided to take it down from the cloud short after. 

"Nothing But (The Sound)" is Plastic Inevitable's first song since 2011! Plastic Inevitable is Marty Procaccio, AKA Blankets, working the sound and Sneekie San Salvador tweaking the sound. The recording for this song began in 2011 in the bedroom recording studio of Marty in Santa Clara California using GarageBand and a whole bunch of pedals. The song was completed in 2013 with vocals recorded in Sneekie San Salvador's mobile Toyota recording unit.

Now it is 11 years later...

I am amazed that I found the vocal stems. I had to look though an old hard drive to find them. I did not feel like digging through more old hard drives for the original track stems. Big thanks to Russell for taking the time to mix the vocals and master the track. I told Russell, when I mixed the original instrumental I was listening to a lot of shitgaze bands at the time. 

May you find many gems when you dig into your past.

A song about that friend back in the day who never done a days graft and lived off the bank of mom and dad. Always plenty of money to indulge his party habits and a few more to say the least.
Nearly cost him his life but fortunately it didn’t and eventually learned a valuable lesson. He has his only family now and just hopes they are more sensible than himself in the teenage years.

Finally after recording over 30 songs we have narrowed it down to 11 of what we consider our best work to date.

60,0000 songs a day get released on Spotify so just a little splash in a massive ocean is all we can hope for but who knows!
We have already had publishing intrest  in the material from the point of moving the material on for other artists and sync work.￼
Acorns turn into oaks but is a long process. 
Since the album release we have gone onto to release singles and EPs on a regular basis.

Gaz Brown, a singer songwriter and the other half of Conscience Of Kings with producer and multi musician Noobly.  Also I’m  a writing partner for Under This Sun with producer and multi musician Sarge, Mike Fox multi musician and producer & multi musician Jeff Roberts under The Bird Thiefs . 

I fell back into writing during 2020 after a 20 year absence. I think the hiatus￼ must have done me a world of good as I haven’t stop writing since, with over 200 songs recorded in studio or demo form. It’s just great to be back doing it again and not having to rehearse in sweaty lock ups and constantly playing live. I have the comfort of my own small studio room and do everything remotely
Having previously only ever fronted bands, the most successful one being 90s psychedelic original underground indie band This Elegant Chaos. I finally bothered to learn guitar and keyboard in the past couple of years .I just wish I had bothered when I was 15 as I might be decent by now!
My songs on this page are just born out of being creative and probably don’t sound nothing like my influences unlike the band page on sound-cloud of This Elegant Chaos.

Influences include late 70s new wave, late 80s indie guitar bands and the 90s explosion of ￼￼the Brit pop era and anything else that’s decent, whatever the style. If it’s good it’s just good!

The demo songs have all been recorded on a Boss Mini BR80 that fits in the palm of my hand. 
It’s all my own work except the  collaborations that are listed under Conscience of Kings, Under This Sun, Jeff Roberts, The Gatsbys and Mike Fox. 
Always open to doing any collaborations with other Soundclouders, don’t be shy to ask. 

Conscience Of Kings is an ongoing project with Noobly that is available on all streaming platforms. 
The aim is to keep recording enough quality material to keep releasing in single, EP or album form all on all major streaming services.
