From the song cycle, Florida, music by Randall Eng, lyrics by Donna DiNovelli

Florida is a dramatic song cycle centered on the character of 16-year-old Florida Fandango. All of the songs were originally composed for an opera, also entitled Florida, inspired by an actual court case. The cycle shifts back and forth in time, between 16-year-old Florida writing in her diary and 26-year-old Florida smoking in the women's room of a courthouse.
