Billy Gillies - Live @ Luminosity Beach Festival 2019

In niets lijkt de man die tegenover mij op de dansvloer van de berucht Elementenstraat in Amsterdam zit te wachten op alles wat ik over hem had gelezen. Op de achterflap van zijn biografie wordt geschreven over: ‘Een leven vol seks, drugs en rock-’n-roll.’ Dakloos op zijn vijftiende, organisator van beestachtige illegale housefeesten, jarenlang zwaarverslaafd en een van de grote pioniers in de Nederlandse dance scene. Maar tegenover mij zit een man, een boom van een kerel, voor zijn interview nog even rustig zijn ademhalingsoefeningen te doen. Gewoon, om even ‘te aarden’. Het leven van llja Reiman is een vat vol tegenstrijdigheden. Wat dat betreft is alles nog bij het oude.

In deze aflevering spreek ik met Constance Scholten, director bij Slingshot Ventures. 

Constance is een 'serial entrepreneur turned investor', en dát ondernemerschap zie je duidelijk terugkomen in het profiel van Slingshot. Ze zijn een relatieve nieuwkomer in de Nederlandse markt, maar hebben met hun focus op consumer tech, en deals in o.a. VanMoof en Tiqets snel een plek verworven.

In deze aflevering legt Constance onder andere uit hoe Slingshot te werk gaat, hoe zij voorspellen welke startups wel of niet succesvol worden en hoe belangrijk een goed team is voor zowel ondernemer als investeerder.
