We at LADR and Fezihaus are happy to present the first release by Boogieman & Samito. " Wasa Bibi", is an up-tempo, experimental and analog inspired dance song about self-acceptance. On this song the duo collaborates, crafting a genre they refer to as Kussom

Boogieman, is a producer and founder of Live Analog Dance Rhythms (LADR), whose distinct bass-heavy analog dance music is carving its own space across Canada, placing him as a forerunner of Montréal's Live Analog Dance movement. On August 2nd, 2019, Boogieman released a debut LP, hosting a stacked late night after party event featuring DJ sets by Planet Giza, Lis Dalton, ‘secreto’ m Bootyspoon and Kaytranada.

"Wasa Bibi" features the soulful vocals of singer-songwriter and producer Samito, who first came to public attention in 2016 with his song “Tiku La Hina” on Costume Records. This record introduced the artist’s lively and versatile persona to the world and was streamed around the world propelling him into the global club scene and countless live stages. 2016/17 also saw the releases of “Cem Cem” on French fashion + music Label Kitsuné and the infectious "I Saw You" on Berlin über-cool tropical bass label Man Recordings. Ever since, Samito has consistently revealed more of his music, always laying into his many influences.

On 'Wasa Bibi' Samito takes his rhythmic and falsetto vocals, gently caresses them into the Boogieman's analog dance mould, helping achieve the nigh-on rare task of birthing a crossover between modular synthesized music and tropical bass aesthetics. With this debut single, there's a kind of transcendent alchemy translated into a heavy, thick, organic wash of sounds, with just enough tension to keep the listener hooked.

Following the release of the Wasa Bibi Alain Vinet remix on September 17th, Boogieman & Samito will release a full EP on October 31st 2019.
