Sam August has been described as believable, accessible and a breath of fresh air. Ontario native Sam August is a 25 year old singer songwriter who’s powerful vocals sound far beyond her years. This self-taught guitarist picked up her first guitar at the early age of 8 and since then has written over 100 soul-telling songs inspired by her life and influences from the world around her. Working under Grammy-winning producers such as Ken Fambro (Destiny’s Child, 112, Dave Hollister), Willie Baker (Beyonce, Pink, India Arie) and collaborating with Grammy-nominated artists such as Byron Sowell (Eric Clapton, Wynona Judd), Sam’s career is only beginning to take shape.

Growing up, she was drawn to a wide variety of music genres. She lists Sam Cooke, Carole King, Brandi Carlile, B.B King and The Goo Goo Dolls as some of her main influences. As a music-lover of the classicss, you can probably find Sam rummaging through local vinyl record shops or your parent’s record collection in the attic in her free time. Naturally combining genres such as singer songwriter, soul, blues and folk Sam wishes to create a new sound and leave a positive impact through her relatable, uplifting music and her “Be yourself, dream big” attitude.

Sam August performs a wide variety of musical genres while captivating an audience of any size through modern covers, throwback classics, or her original writing. With her old soul yet youthful heart, truthful lyrics and warm smile, Sam has already begun to capture the attention of all ages.

UK based Reggae Dancehall Artist Staggabakk, is the latest of naturally gifted Jamaicans set to have a major impact on the music industry. His talent has no boundaries and he is limitless with the things he can achieve. Ever since he discovered his ability to write lyrics and rap to a beat, his confidence has propelled him forward onto a journey he never thought possible.
Born in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine, Jamaica, Christopher Sappleton aka Staggabakk has always had a passion for performing and being creative. Growing up, he captured the ears, eyes and heart of many locals in his community with his energetic, charismatic and passionate performances on various talent shows. He was supported by friends and family, especially his mother who he sees as his mentor and the reason behind him doing music altogether. She persuaded him to travel to the UK in 1999, so that he could experience a wider culture of music, learn from other musicians and develop into a more versatile artist, like his idol Bob Marley did.
Staggabakk brings a fresh style that forms the perfect blend of Reggae and Dancehall music. He sees himself as an international artist who appeals to the masses. “All I’ve ever wanted growing up is to be heard and taken seriously, music gives me the opportunity to do this, I believe through my songs, people will get to understand my journey and know who Staggabakk is” says the artist.
In a recent interview he was asked where he got his name from and his response was ‘Stagaback is a kind of sweetie in Jamaica. I would often go to the shop to buy these sweets and on one particular day the shopkeeper (Mrs. Johnson) saw me coming and shouted, ‘Stagaback’ (as she knew that was what I was going to buy) since then I’ve claimed it as my pet name, in Jamaica you are given a pet name that sticks with you for life. I had to change the spelling to Staggabakk for copywriting purposes.’ 
Staggabakk had written and co produced his debut album ‘Wot A Gwan’. “This album is me finding my feet, getting to know who I am and where I stand as an artist. I wanted to prove to myself and all who doubted me, that anything is possible if you put your mind to it”, Stated the man himself. Wot A Gwan was released in 2014 by Zojak Worldwide Music Distributors based in the USA.
Staggabakk is set to release a five (5) track EP album entitled ‘Blessed’ on 21st August 2017. The self-titled single ‘Blessed’ has a smooth, feel good vibe that automatically puts you into a positive frame of mind. The production is of high standard, with a catchy chorus, clever punch line and groovy trumpet flowing through the song, this track will surely generate a lot of heat on the airwaves. 
‘Blessed’ is a very well written and produced EP. It is consistent throughout its five (5) songs, staying truthful to his culture, Root and Reggae Music. There is one exception on the album, ‘Still Believe’. This track has more of a Rock, Pop, Dancehall vibe. It promotes one’s self-belief, never giving up on one’s dream and always aiming for greatness. It also shows the growth and maturity of the artist, writer, lyrists and a performer.

  Jay Roberts is a singer/songwriter/performer from the Northwest corner of CT.  Following a successful reception of Jay’s original music around CT and Mass for the past few years, he decided it was time to head to the studio. His first efforts culminated in an album called “Take One and Only One”; a collection of one takes and raw studio sounds that were recorded at Firehouse 12 in New Haven CT.  Some of the songs on that album appear in a more complete version on his latest work “Devil’s Son”.
 
  In 2014, Jay decided to head back into the studio. This time, Jay went to On Deck Sound Studio with Tracy Walton to record “Devil’s Son” This album is about as diverse as it gets. A heavy handed mix of Americana, rock, country, some New Orleans for good measure and a whole lotta different.  The album, co-produced by Walton, reflects a truthful approach to musical production that relies on the raw essence of songs. With disregard to convention or status quo, Jay has taken well written songs, given them life and allowed them to breathe. He tell the story without special effects, overplaying or “studio magic”.  The lyrics, voice and instrumentation are all sincere.  Devil’s Son showcases Jay’s songwriting prowess in a serious fashion while giving glimpses of his naughty side…hence the “Two Eggs” or “Devil’s Son” imagery and songs. Fun, interesting, different and fresh; Jay has been called “The New Classic Rock”.
