This song started as a basic, yet melodically very strong composition by Terry involving him playing a synthesizer over a beat he created. He first shared it with Stephen, as they are regular collaborators in their project, Texas Tea, which are worth checking out on both of their pages, as well. Stephen then turned it over the the Eclectic Collective to work our magic on it.
  Josh was first up to the plate with this one, adding his deep, five string fretless bass to Terry's rudimentary beat. Ken was next up, however, adding the driving drum beat you hear, for which he used Terry's beat as a template and augmented a full kit sound to it. Stephen followed Ken, adding his striking wah guitar part to the whole thing. Tez was up soon after with his searing guitar soloing towards the end. Last, but certainly not least, JJ added the soulful electric piano you hear giving it a funk throughout, as well as the tambourine and the cool triange dings. 
  Now that it was in the bag, we decided to ask Stephen to produce and mix it for us, which he did in his typical expert fashion, as well as the doing the mastering, too.
  This is our holiday offering to all our fans, friends, colleagues, and peers. While it's not particularly a holiday song, it's a good display of where we are musically, and shows some of the flavor we want to add in the new year. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. Happy holidays to you, and many happy returns!

This song began in Artur's jam room at his house, where he creates all of his amazing music on his Fender Jaguar, which is perfect for the surf sound, at which he's a master. He shared it with Josh, who shared it with the group.
 
  Before Josh could lay down a bass part to it, though, JJ came up with his elegantly moody synth and laid it down. The rhythm section, Josh and Ken, then did their usual dance, dialing it in with some back and forth. Stephen was next in line, adding a subtle duet with Artur's chords. Tez then played the ethereal lead throughout most of it. Stephen, after it was pretty much laid down, came through with the ripping wah solo towards the end.

  Once the music was all taken care of, Carl came up with some great lyrics for it, and sang them, as the newest member of the group. He also laid down an accompanying acoustic rhythm guitar part, too. After Carl did his thing, we turned it over to Stephen for a mix, which he did with his professional skill set.

  This is the latest in a long line of surf rock tunes Artur has shared with Eclectic Collective. If you dig the sound, he has plenty more great ones on his page, which are worth checking out, too. We tried to do this with a little nod to The Police, the band, not the profession. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. Thanks for listening.

This is a re-upload of a track that was recorded a few years ago.  It was originally recorded in 2023, and it consists of 3 different segments of sitar and drum jams spliced together with subsequent sitar and bass tracks added after.  Drums were played by Mick Mack, sitar and bass by Gremescer Fuckburger.  I generally like the way it turned out, but I always wished I had tuned the sitar better before recording.  I have edited this track a bit to fix some of the tuning issues, but there is only so much I can do.  Either way, I hope you enjoy.

These elite officers are:  Admiral Krank of the SS Belgrade (Guitar, bass, beats, intergalactic espionage and assassination by exploding cigars); and Captain Mirth of the SS Zagreb- (Guitar, piano, synth, beats, and advanced thermal detonation). And our very own clockwork man on the drums, Mo Sheen (https://soundcloud.com/user-424452711).  Unfortunately, despite bravely serving Her Majesty's Space Navy, Vice Commandant Dubois has been court martialed and convicted for conduct not befitting an officer and counterfeiting baseball cards, stripped of his command of the SS Budapest, and dishonorably discharged from Her Majesty's Space Navy, though certain recordings of his guitar, synth, bass, beats, and forward deployable laser blasters remain here memorialized for posterity.
