Sound Transitions is back with another excellent EP for your listening enjoyment. This one comes to us compliments of Bristol's own Quelaan in the form of the Glass Projections EP. It's six tracks of deeply groovy house filled with soulful chords, sliced vocal samples, and enough low end to rattle any big room.

Composed of three originals and three inventive remixes from Roaming Data, Hannd, and Phasmid, the Glass Projections EP is a snapshot of where house music is right now and where it may be headed in the future. While there are certainly nods to the past (especially in some of the excellently chopped vocal samples used), the music here is forward-thinking, interesting, and timeless. Quelaan creates a dark, steamy world that is surely informed by our own, but has the patina of something new, original, and exciting. This one is a must-have. Out April 22nd via bandcamp and streaming services!

PREMIERE: Mike Sharon - Make You Shine [Perception - 知覺]

Razvan Botez, aka Utip, is an up & coming Berlin based artist who draws his inspiration from the city’s unique underground house scene. His music combines a series of minimal and house elements with groovy beats. He enjoys and finds his escape in the beauty of connecting to an audience through the energy created by the sound of the music and has collaborated with labels like: Lemon Herb Records (UK), Layer Caked Records (UK), Musik Lab Records + more.

Here he presents "House Galaxy"... a cosmic driving tech houser, with an irresistibly winding bassline that gets you locked into his groove!

Ollie Drummond has been making big waves in his hometown of London and beyond, mixing up his love of golden-era tech house with cutting edge sounds for a deep heady groove. He is a regular DJ at parties like; World Unknown and Wiggle as well as playing at his own party Marbles and is also a long-standing resident at FUMP. Ollie's unique slick production sound has already found favour on impressive underground imprints including: Wiggle, Limousine Dream and Alien Recordings to name just a few.

Here he joins Utip with a chunky dub-influenced interpretation of House Galaxy, building up momentum for some serious dancefloor moments.

Selection of tracks written, composed, and recorded by Stefan Baghiu from the OST of the play "Cu brațele întinse deasupra lumii" [With Hands Wide Open Over the World] directed by Oana Marin in 2023 for Lucian Blaga University Of Sibiu, Romania. The subject of the play is economic migration and the problems of Romanian contemporary women who work abroad in raising their children.
