Kicking things off, label boss Soul Button shares his impressions of Nick Devon’s ‘Everything Has A Beginning’. He adds his signature imprint and emotion while keeping mystery in the atmosphere. 

Clawz SG applies his sensibility into a functional remix of BLANCAh’s mystic Portuguese named ‘Preludios de Uma Noite Sem Fim’, arranging the track for the dance floors.

British producer JOBE adds interesting technological elements to Nick Devon’s ‘Symbiose’, building it to a grand conclusion.

Steyoyoke’s Family Affair series returns to mark its 8th edition to date. The second half of this double release features remixes by Steyoyoke core producers Nick Devon, Simon Sizer and Arude.

Nick Devon introduces his usual well-defined pace to JOBE’s ‘Dystopia’, but diversifies in percussion elements. Great evolution as well.

Simon Sizer comes in remixing ‘Indra’ from family chief Soul Button delivering a sinister soundscape full of echoing sharp elements, making the ambience apparent and notably dark. 

Finally Simon gets a treatment on his own ‘Aconit’ by Ukranian talent ‘Arude’ which crafts a proper Techno groove as he reinforces the track’s commitment to murkiness. 
That’s what Family Affair is all about. Artists lend their techniques and unique views to other highly skilled producers and their pieces, providing beautiful alternative versions of the tracks we already love.

Exclusive Innellea 'Quito'

Based in southern Germany, DJ and producer duo Innellea have left their sound-mark in the electronic music since their first release, 'Colante', in 2016. In less than two years Innellea or Daniel and Michael, how close friends call them, have become an in-demand-act and an Adana Twins favorite. The honor of being favorited by the Hamburgers now results in releasing the very first EP, 'Nautilus', on their newly founded label TAU. 'Quito', referring to Ecuador's capital, is the most percussive cut from the EP and represents a musical counterpart to 'Nautilus'. The lush bassline sets the groove and is gradually enriched with further percussive elements as well as incisive synth-chords before peaking in a tropical-break(down)that pours a heavy musical rainfall down on the listener. But 'Quito' does not leave you in the rain but keeps pushing forward as further twirling and curling soundscapes are added within the course of the track and make you cherish the romance of a warm summer rain.

Innellea's EP 'Nautilus' will be released August 31st, 2018 on TAU.

Berlin-based duo Aaaron & Deckert continue their path out of the darkness and into the light with the 'Shadows' EP on Chapter 24. They are joined by a third Berliner - the accomplished DJ, vocalist and songwriter Meggy - on the A-side. It's a powerful, rolling cut, textured and full of swagger, set off by Meggy's dusky signature vocal that combines equal parts darkness and soul. Three Editions add to the mix and each offer a different flavour. Label regular JOBE throws in cosmic flair and tension, perfect for peak time. Meanwhile, rising star Sobek reimagines the harmony of the track to bring extra emotion and mystery to proceedings. KatrinKa's rework is deep and hypnotic, punctuated with piano stabs and gently enveloping synth lines. The package is completed by 'Hide' on the flip. Bumping tribal toms set the scene before a killer synth line takes hold. All in all it's a feel good affair, though not completely black and white. Out of the night and lit by moonlight, Aaaron & Deckert make their ascent on Chapter 24.
