"homework - year 7" is the seventh volume in an ongoing series of compilations which are released at the end of each year and gather unreleased tracks composed/recorded/tweaked/finalized during the year by as much taâlem artists as possible.

so once again, we've asked every artist who had a release on taâlem during these 21 years to contribute a 2022 track.

we've received 62 tracks (and 1 video) for this seventh edition. most of the contributing artists were already present on the previous editions (even on all of them for a few!), some appear for the first time, some are back after a long period of inactivity, others could unfortunately not make it.
we'll see who's there for the eighth one in 2023!

as always, taâlem wishes to thank all the artists involved for their generosity, patience, trust and support during all these years.
and of course big thanks to our ever loyal customers too! we couldn't go on without you.

“Tabulatura” is a 2008 indeterminate composition for sixteen pre-
recorded guitar parts and computer with custom software. It is
conceived as a system to generate different acoustic patterns.
The “Volume 2” documents eight pieces recorded live at Palazzo
Castagna, Città Sant'Angelo, Italy, in November 2020. The album was
recorded on two-track, directly on hard drive, without DSP and
overdubs.

Emiliano Romanelli (b. 1979) is an Italian musician with a background
in visual art. His work includes sound installation, live performance
and composition. His recordings are published by Terziruolo, Cassauna
and Senufo Editions. Romanelli has been co-founder of the duo Tu
m' (1998–2011).

I remember very well when I did this song, it was the first track that I did after my knee ligament and meniscus operation, once at home I was felling a bit better so I decided to turn on the studio, the thing was that the pain while sitting in front of the synthesizers and drum machines was omnipresent, but I resisted for some hours because I wanted to continue with the track standing up once in a while...
At the end it was not a the best for my recovering cause the pain augmented gradually during the next few days, but at least I recorded the track... surely the opioids helped me out...
