One of South Africa’s finest producers joins the Sondela family with three singles lined-up for 2023, as well as DJ appearances planned at Sondela events worldwide. Known for building mesmerising soundscapes within his music, Thakzin takes us on a universal journey of elevation and spiritual vibrations whilst manifesting the healing power of music. ‘The Magnificent Dance’ is a fusion between deep house and Amapiano, featuring entrancing loops that conjure up images of nature, flitting between the real and the fantastical. The versatile and forward-thinking producer has become a firm favourite of international A-listers Louie Vega, Pablo Fierro, David Morales and many others, and has recently surpassed 1M streams collaborating with Themba in 2021. South African artist Blanka Mazimela joins MoBlack Records with "Thula," a three-track EP that embodies his keenness in harmonizing organic instrumentation with meaningful vocals and crisp electronic techniques. Starting "Thula" off radiantly, the title track illuminates Khonaye's evocative poetry with effervescent rhythms, tender melodies and airy undulations, combering through a mesmerizing house groove to finish. Next, the DJ/producer brings in Sobantwana to render poignant balladry at the crux of 'Mamtolo.' Driven by the verve of her croon, the track saunters deep into a kaleidoscope of penetrating cadences, quixotic riffs and cosmic reverie. Circling back home, 'Thula' ends with a riveting revelation. Mingling vulnerability with permeating sound patterns, visceral percussion and pulsating progressions, 'Pray for Me,' is both a juncture for connection and a redemptive procession through dance.

Fairplay drop three remix versions of Latlal on their latest release from Zatar Music.  

The original appeared on Phonique’s new label in August, and now the Jordanian duo called in some big guns to add a spin to one of the tracks of 2022. 

First up is Hyenah, a resident of Watergate’s famed RISE afro house parties. The main version balances the incredible vocals of Mariem Hassan with shuffling beats and a driving groove that draws from across the African continent and beyond. With releases on Freerange, Rise Music and Watergate Records Hyenah created his own signature sound over the past years and released his debut album 'Love In Time Of Crisis' in 2022.

The instrumental gives more space for the production to shine - definitely one for the DJs. 

Additionally the Spada remix brings in a melodic tech-house element to the track, further widening the reach of Fairplay’s essential original. Spada just founded his own label Ultimo Paradiso and gained attention with his releases on Diynamic, Anjunabeat, Armada and Stil vor Talent.

For those who have followed DGTL over the years, you'll recognize the name Henrik Schwarz. He is one of the game's most dexterous and prolific names, an electronic music legend, masterful composer, and true artist. Over twenty years, some 100 releases, eclectic collaborations, and countless beloved performances worldwide, he delicately balances the line between electronic, classical, and jazz through everything from sweaty club sets to seated auditorium live performances. But that only scratches the surface. With Home In On, the German maestro joins the DGTL Records family, emerging from the pandemic with two tracks of studio wizardry and a clear reminder of why he is one of the premier names in melodic minimalism.

Somehow both simple and robust, stripped down and expansive, the Ep kicks off with the eco-conscious Posidonia Oceanica's eerie funk. Born from the improvisational live keys of a 2017 DGTL Tel Aviv set and finished amongst the CO2 gathering Ibizan seagrass sometime this year, Posidonia Oceanica features an infectious groove sprouting delicately from its bassline's steady crunch. Posidonia Oceanica is the perfectly layered kickstarter, or after- hours anthem, for any dancefloor. Then, on Home in on Those Things, Schwarz ever so slightly dips into tribal territory, albeit with all the unpredictability we've come to expect. Swirling, cheeky, responsive, steady, Home in on Those Things is also a throwback to Henrik's deep musical roots.

Up next on MoBlack Records, Pablo Fierro delivers a dynamic reinterpretation of the version of Latrouch of the traditional Tunisian song 'Sidi Mansour,' which he sublimated by the exceptional use of the typically Tunisian instrument Zokra. In 'Yababa' (Tunisian Mix), the Canarian DJ/producer casts a bustling musical sojourn rife with vigorous Near East instrumentals, visceral Afro rhythms and a crisp house groove . Preserving Latrouch's reverent poetry at the marrow, Fierro's rendition uplifts the original's timber while nimbly integrating his unique touch and forward thinking dancefloor perspective. Connecting past and present, pulse and drums, human and divine, Fierro renders yet another timeless masterpiece to the fore.

Yaans & Makhou met each other in the Parisian subway and decided to create something together.

In February 2022, Yaans had a meeting in Paris, and on his way to the subway, he heard a beautiful voice singing on guitar chords.
The kind of voice that takes you to another world. Yaans stopped by and talked to Makhou. They didn’t need to talk for hours to create a connection and decided to have a drink two weeks after.

They went to the studio only one month after meeting and recorded Lou way Di Nian. Gather two different musical inspirations into something unique. They wanted to express a positive message in this music about hope, unity, the wish to do great things, and always fighting to keep the faith.

Makhou came from Senegal, and Yaans from France, creating an incredible mix of universal talent.

After meeting Bushman by sending ‘Lou Way Di Nian’ to him for review, Bushman was intrigued by the original and decided to work with Yaans to create a remix package. Reaching out with the original and Vocals from Makhou, producers Eddie ZAR, Shredder SA, Da Africa Deep, Dr. Feel & MYDIR created their track versions. From there, we decided to release the package as a Remix EP.

Each artist on the remix has delivered their stamp on the way music should be heard, alongside regulars on the WeAreiDyll Stable of releases – we haven’t been disappointed with this one. To start in a Subway in France and make it across the world to South Africa shows the power of this track.
