Northamptonshire, UK metallers KRYSTHLA will release their debut album 'A War Of Souls And Desires' this September via PHD.
 
Featuring former members of UK metal heavyweights GUTWORM and DEADEYE - Krysthla's crushing debut album will resonate with fans who like their metal on the dark side but layered with sonic soundscapes that explore musical boundaries and pushes the envelope as to what British metal is.

Founding member/guitarist Neil Hudson says "After we finished with Gutworm in 2010, songs were already slowly being pieced together with a new sound and approach in mind. This also included a new vocalist in Adi Mayes (former frontman of Deadeye and prior to that, Violation).

It was really important to get the line up right.  After auditioning other members it soon became clear that only the original Gutworm line up with the addition of Adi could physically deliver what Krysthla required. 

The material on this record is set in a more grounded yet ethereal realm as it deals with the darkness within life and forces the listener to question their lives, what they know and what they take for granted. Challenging people's perception of their own existence and how they live their lives is a tough thing to approach as everybody feels perversely safe in their own little grief hole. Things don't, and will never change unless you think outside the box and are prepared to live outside it. The world is more squared than you realise.......

The songs themselves focus on world and political events and the ancient rites attached to them that we as a people in a modern age partake in willingly. With such a 

deep and expansive subject matter the music had to manifest this in a physical form which naturally led us to the hellish blend of unrelenting heaviness but with texture, colour and groove."

Krysthla have signed European and worldwide distribution deals with Plastic Head (PHD) which will see the album stocked in record stores across the UK as well being available via digital distributers including iTunes, Amazon and Spotify worldwide.
 
Krysthla's three track sampler EP 'A Thousand Points Of Light' was released in 2013 and after two years writing new material, the band's evolution has been realised with this astonishing debut album which takes extreme metal to new heights and is truly British.

Formed in 2007 in Bergen, Norway, by guitarists HeavyHarms and R.I.P Meister, BYFROST originally started life as a four-piece, before settling as a power-house trio composed of HeavyHarms on guitars and vocals, R.I.P Meister on five-string bass and HELLISH OUTCAST’s Alkolust on drums.  Their music has been described variously as Blackened Thrash and Black ‘n Roll, but whatever term you want to apply to it, the end result is always the same – a neck-breaking head banging experience

The band’s first album “Black Earth”, which included a guest appearance by ENSLAVED’s Arve Isdal, was released on Painkiller Records in April 2010 to much critical acclaim, and demonstrated the band’s ability to skillfully merge cold, dark riffs with a touch of the melodic.  BYFROST’s reputation as skilled musicians coupled with a dynamic stage presence has been consolidated by a series of live dates both at home and abroad, which included appearances at the Hole in the Sky and Karmoygeddon Festivals, the launch of Terrorizer Magazine’s Norwegian Grindhouse venture, and, along with ENSLAVED, at a special concert to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Garage, Bergen’s foremost venue. 

In early 2011 BYFROST inked a deal with Germany's AFM Records, who are set to release the band’s sophomore album before the summer.  The new album, to be titled of "Of Death'", will once again be recorded at the Conclave and Earshot Studios in the band’s home town of Bergen, and will be produced by ENSLAVED’s Herbrand Larsen and co-produced by ENSLAVED's Ice Dale.

First reports of Upcast can be traced back to 2008, when the band appeared on the planet with a mission to combat the demons of hell subtly disguised as hypocritical politicians, conspiracy lunatics, social justice warriors, and other entities pulling the world down the drain. Armed with lyrics as sharp as their wit, intense riffs and furious solos, drum barrages, and a bass line as heavy as a dreadnought, they set out releasing records and playing wild gigs to ridicule the status quo and laugh in the face of societal norms, all while telling captivating stories that only the most dedicated listener would be able to discern due to screamed vocals nobody can understand (you can search for the lyrics though, duh). 

Firmly rooted in classic thrash and death metal, when bands could get out on stage and rip the place apart without using laptops and backing tracks, over the years Upcast has developed a more refined sound, pulling in diverse influences from deathcore and metalcore to eurodance and even cartoon music – but never straying into sucky pop tunes and tedious modern metal wankery.

The song Alcomosh was created along with its namesake term to describe the debauchery and circle pit mania of the band’s live shows, becoming an early hit and crowd favourite. Another was The Fear, pointing out humanity’s lack of self-awareness and inevitable demise. This and similar topics (governments as oppressors, migration crises, gadget and drug addiction) have found their way into the band’s first full-length album Upcast I, so named not in a small part so that the next one can be called Upcast II. Being huge fans of old school shooter Doom II, the band even dedicated an EP and the song Dead Simple to the game and its classic level full of carnage and gore.

Having played a number gigs, including in support of such major acts as Hatebreed, Nancial, and Cannabis Corpse, Upcast is now mostly focussed on releasing good music to soothe the ears and nerves of metalheads worldwide. Spread out globally and having fluid membership, there is no telling where and in what form you may encounter Upcast, either in reality or online. Today, they are formed of singer Unit22423, guitarist and songwriter Fkod, guitarist Beerdevil, and drummer Turbomosh, all living in different countries and coming together in their music and on social networks for the good of metal, the world, and wild alcomoshing.

Frankenstein Junior is that little child who lives inside each one of us, ever desiring to be free in harmony with the universe surrounding him. He’s thought-free, spontaneous, sincere and curious to discover the world which he sees as positive and rich in resources.
The Doctor is the representation of rebirth!

Thanks to his hellish machinery, to mad research and to a centaury-long ambition he can supply a new brain, a new way of thinking, new eyes and a new day, but not always does he allow his creatures to choose in accordance to their nature.
Then who is Doctor Frankenstein? A man? A scientist?
Nothing of the above!

He is society, influencing us with its devious contro.

Frankenstein Junior, the new creature, like each and everyone of us. Lives in a system which he accepts but which does not allow him to manage is own free will. The globalization and conformism are a kind of “Doctor Frankenstein effect” which deprive us of the possibility of choosing and reasoning, as if we had a new brain inplanted in our heads.

In the genesis of Frankenstein Junior, the Doctor, after having “brought him back to life” forces the little Frankenstein to become a prototype of the perfect man: good-looking, full of muscles, virile, a superficial artist and most of all a perfect integration of the social fabric. To pursue his intent, he convinces Frankenstein Junior to take part in a talent show in order to gain visibility, fame, money and beautiful women.
The creature is disorientated but he takes part anyway.

He appears as a loser in the eyes of the jury who can’t percieve his virtues. 
The Doctor intervenes several times, but in the end he loses control of his magic weapon, rich in incredible powers and creating a superhuman amplified effect which highlights the presumed virtues of the participants.
“The woman having cosmetic surgery”, hit by the scientist’s ray, ends up with a much bigger breast.
The bodybuilder becomes a mountain of muscles which bellows above his “little head”. 

Even the tall lady is transformed and becomes as thin as a feather, lifts from the ground and drifts into the air!
What happens to little Frankenstein Junior? Well yes! He too has something which makes him special!
An enormous “swanstuck” better known as a corpus cavernosum which becomes so big that he wins throne!

Now he’s sitting on that throne both lost and winning, he is thinking about the fact that maybe once the lights go down, he might not feel so happy and fulfilled as everyone expects. 
Frankenstein Junior is positive anyway!
Deep down he knows that the universe needs time to realize his most profound desires.. 
One day it will all come true…

Jae Stark, aka Jae TheBeatBoi, is a beatmaker/producer/rapper from Detroit, MI. His lyrical/rhyme-fest style is influenced by artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Eminem, and J. Cole.  

Music, especially hip-hop music, is something that Jae had first fallen in love with years ago: 
"As a kid growing up in a household with four older siblings, music was all around me. My two sisters would be listening to the latest R&B/pop songs on the radio. My brother who's closer in age to me would be listening to the underground hip-hop artists. He read all the music magazines, so he knew about the upcoming rappers that were buzzing and whatnot. My oldest bro would be listening to the mainstream rap; Bone Thugs, 2pac, Biggie, etc. He listened to pretty much all the big rappers from every region of the US. And my mom being from the south, she would be listening to blues; Johnny Taylor, Bobby Bland, ZZ Hill, etc. So I was just soaking it all in. 
How I got into rapping was also influenced by my siblings. My oldest bro and sis would invite their friends over and they'd send me and my nieces upstairs. They'd be down there smoking and drinking, then they would have a freestyle cypher going on. I would sneak down the stairs and listen to them in awe like "how are they coming up with rhymes so fast off the top of their head like that?" I was about  9 or 10 at that time, and that was the first freestyle cypher I've ever seen in my life, right in my own living room. I could see that they were having so much fun just rhyming words, so after that I told myself that I'm gonna start rapping too."

Jae likes to call his music "Reali-tunes," as the majority of his music is based on his own personal experiences as well as the trials and tribulations of everyday life: 
"I am someone who's dealt with a lot of struggles in life, most of them being mental struggles. The biggest battle for me was my bout with depression. I suffered thru a hellish 5 year bout with depression. But by the grace of God I came out of that fight as the victor. Me going thru something like that is why I chose to write songs that are based on real life experiences, things that people can relate to. I know that there are other people out there who might either be going thru or have been thru something that I speak on in my songs.  
A lot of artists don't realize just how big a platform they have. You have one voice, and with that one voice you have the ability to reach thousands of people. I feel like if I have such a big platform then I should use it for something that's greater than myself; the possibility of my words inspiring, encouraging, and/or motivating someone in a positive manner."

Typhon was the deadliest monster of Greek mythology, known as the "Father of All Monsters".

Typhon was described as the largest and most fearsome of all creatures. His human upper half reached as high as the stars, and his hands reached east and west. A hundred dragon heads erupted from his neck, shoulders and the fingers on his hands. His bottom half consisted of gigantic viper coils that could reach the top of his head when stretched out and constantly made a hellish hissing noise. His whole body was covered in wings, and fire flashed from his eyes, striking deep fear even into the the bravest warrior.
