The Distance are a 4 piece indie band from Manchester, known for their irritatingly catchy vocal melodies and anthemic guitar riffs. 

The band was formed by frontman, Jack Hughes when he met bassist, Rhys Ashley at college. Aaron Illingsworth later joined the band as the drummer along with lead guitarist, Sam Warrener whom Jack met at a local open mic night.  

Having started in the Manchester open mic scene in October 2021, the band has since gone on to play venues in Manchester such as Gullivers, Aatma, The Grafton Arms, Off the Square and The Spinning Top, along with Festivals such as Breadstock, The Great North Swittas Truck Festival and Hotwood Fest in North Wales.

Having played their fair share of gigs both in and outside of Manchester, the band announced their debut single "Falling" for release on the 9th September 2022.
