Since a couple of years, it marks the end of the German Open Air season and has become sort of the traditional summer closing-gathering. Music, decor, performances and the spirit of creating “together” a project that aims for mutual understanding and communion with non-commercial ideas symbolize the pillars of our small festival. Dark Notes is the Brazilian Dark Psy project created by the producers Caio Javelberg (Anunnaki) and Ricco Mazzer (Flicker Light / Alcohbata).

The two long-time friends are the founders of the infamous Katayy Festival, which took place for the first time back in 2014 . Simultaneously, they also launched the associated record label Katayy Records, whose first release came out in 2017, which also marked the innitiation of the Dark Notes project.

Both dedicated themselves and their lives to the electronic music scene for over 12 years and in this project they managed to put their rich experience & knowledge into practice.
Hard hitting kicks&basses interacting with heavily modulated fx -sounds that smoothly merge with layers of obscure & profound soundscapes - deep, dark & psychedelic vibes all the way!

What started in 2010 as a thought, as an idea to be involved in the psychedelic movement, unfolded into an epic tale of unbelievable proportions. Fast-forward a decade, we look back in retrospect and our path was laden with beautiful souls, mind-bending experiences, and the toughest lessons that a human can endure. 
Since then, the Ψ Madmuzik family has been and will continue to work hard to evolve our culture and ensure that we preserve this way of life for future generations to come.
