Matawan, New Jersey – November 23, 2020 – As it goes with many people, Kenny Simmons found a safe haven for himself in the world of music. Kenny had a rough childhood while living with his mother in Buffalo, but it got better after he moved to the Bronx with his father. The Bronx in the 60s was, as he calls it, “a melting pot of every musical flavor.” He grew up listening to the diverse sounds of Afro Latin, Salsa, Motown, R&B, Jazz, and Reggae. The joy from music transformed into a passion, making him the widely loved R&B soul musician that he is today.

Kenny Simmons has announced the release of his brand new album, “Tales From The Sagittarian”. The album is dropping on December 12th and includes six original songs, produced and recorded under Kenny’s record company, Rotunda Records International. The songs will have his iconic R&B and neo-soul stylistic, but with a twist to keep the listeners intrigued and engaged.

Kenny Simmons first gained recognition as the lead vocalist of the famed show band, The Infernos. The band has flourished as a result of their memorable showmanship and creative lyrics that Kenny played a huge part in. Kenny’s journey with the band has taken him around the world, performing for events like the American and China Chamber of Commerce gala in China. He also led the vocals for the band’s headlining act for celebrities like Lady Gaga and Chicago.

Kenny recorded “Tales From The Sagittarian” as a way to share his stories using the less conventional sounds of neo-soul. The songs contain emotional lyrics fused with contemporary R&B beats for funky sounding tunes.

Kenny Simmons hails from New Jersey. His time living with his father in the Bronx made him take notice of the city’s musical culture in the 60s. This was the starting point that led Kenny down the journey of pursuing his dream to be a musician. His music typically comes under the genres of R&B and soul, although some may consider his songs to be neo-soul. Apart from his solo ventures, Kenny Simmons is also the lead vocalist for “America’s #1 Show Band”, The Infernos.
