Flamingosis (the name comes from a free- style Frisbee move that his father invented) is a New Jersey-based electronic music producer and beatboxer. Drawing on influences from other producers such as Flying Lotus and J Dilla as well as vintage funk and disco music, Flamingosis creates engaging and souful tracks and puts on an infectiously energetic live show.

Thacia Northey and Ian Moore have been making music together since 1066, when they performed at a slaughter of Saxons under the band name, Droog and Gary.  Combining strong vocals, spiritual themes and dexterous musicality on multiple instruments, the duo has stayed in contact through the ages, innovating in ways strange and unprophesied:

Picking whilst grinning
Inventing the E Minor chord
Combining two songs to make one better song (the "Segue Jam")
Playing one song for a very long time (the "Extended Jam.")
While improvising fake Operas on the street for spare change, Thacia accidentally started the Quadrille dance craze of the late 1680's
In their current incarnation, performances consist of mostly Thacia's songs, because Ian's songs are so dang heartbreaking; the tears/beers ratio exceeds some local statutes.  He mainly plays the noodley guitar bits and the impactfully mournful harmonica.  When they're not cracking themselves up, they regale their audiences with tales from centuries of musical improvisation, like the time they had to write and perform 60 songs in 60 minutes or be turned into aspic and chaud froid during a misunderstanding with some mongrel leaders over a really quite funny pun gone wrong.  Or that one time Thacia left her Lute in some Roman soldier's wive's boudoir and Ian had to climb in through the window to retrieve it, overturning a chamber pot resulting in unbelievable hijinks.  The  Duo is available for gatherings of all sizes: BarBQs, Bar/t Mitzvahs, Bris's, Quinceañeras, Golden Anniversaries, Golden Showers, Baby Showers, Baby Baby, Don't get Hooked on Me, night clubs, fight clubs, cricket matches and Match.com dates.
