Ain’t talking is a song about defying the need to speak when what’s being said around you doesn’t matter. The song explores deep self reflection, addressing ideas like detachment, normality and silence, sometimes feeling as though people are walking one way and you another. Ain’t Talking expresses a journey of discovery of connection with others. The song also expresses defiance against falsehood and the notion of taking the time to piece together our own truths.

‘Who I Am’ delves into the psyche of a delusional, narcissistic man trapped in a false reality. Gritty, hazy, and dark, the track explores his inability to see his own flaws, instead blaming his past lovers for not understanding him. With furious choruses, honest vocals, brooding gothic melodies, and conflicted lyrics, this alt-rock anthem paints a haunting portrayal of self-deception and a fractured identity.

Lewis’s music is expansive, intricate, conceptual, scanning the vast spectrum of Black music. Combined with his own cultural heritage as a native south Londoner and black British Caribbean, Lewis delivers music that blurs the boundaries between jazz, hip-hop, gospel, garage and grime and many other genres too.

He is an In-demand session musician and arranger, he is a member of many high profile groups including House Gospel Choir, MOBO award winning gospel artist Rachel Kerr , The Last Dinosaur, Boadi. Last year saw him tour with Florence + The Machine in the states and sessions including Cat Burns, Primal Scream and Waiting For Smith. 

He is currently working on his next release which will be a full album following his debut e.p States of Being which has had support from BBC Introducing Mixtape (Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6), BBC Radio London (Robert Elms Show) Worldwide FM, Soho Radio, Jazz FM, Twisted Soul to name a few.
