SOundScape Series is a project that started off as a mixtape series of an eclectic selection of sounds curated by System Of Survival. Encompassing a wide musical spectrum been born with the intention of displaying influences, sounds, and rhythms often left out of a dancefloor-orientated set.
SOundScape is a show broadcasted by the popular @ibizasonica every Friday from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm CET. The spirit is obviously the same: guests have the liberating opportunity to play WHATEVER inspires them. @uncle-ru undoubtedly played his part in the 90's London dance scene. He co-founded The Rotters Golf Club with Andrew Weatherall, was instrumental in the mid-90’s Brixton scene with the George IV (club nights vent and Circulation, the latter also in collaboration with Weatherall) and even put on the first ever night in Fabric. As well as gigs all of the UK, he's played Paris, Miami, New York, Copenhagen to name but a few, before settling in Sydney in 2002.

Since then, Uncle Ru has played at every Lost Paradise, closing the last three. He's been a resident of Return To Rio, closing Saturday nights since conception and he's also resident of Rotary Disco, with his series of same-titled mixes getting considerable airplay on SoundCloud. With one foot heavily in nu-disco, the other foot wonders off in a world of musical twister, taking in house, techno and slo-mo chug, often with a cosmic, spacey feel for good measure. He's not one to be pigeon-holed, and effortlessly glides between genres. His most recent set from Lost Paradise proving just that.

After a run of storming guest mixes over the last few episodes the quality continues, with an absolute peach of a guest mix from Greg Middleton in hour 2. It’s all over the place in the best possible way, covering an impressive amount of ground in an hour and 7 minutes, yet remaining coherent, engaging and immensely enjoyable to listen to.

'It's quite eclectic, reflecting my borderline nights and online shows, but perhaps a little bit off the beaten track at times, a bit deeper. I've picked a mixture of stuff from hip-hop, breaks, house, disco...some classics, a few newer bits, some edits and mashups....hopefully to keep things interesting for the whole hour 😁'

2019 proved to be a huge year for Ben as bookings for him and @PuzzledOfficial shows took him on a 19-country world tour in nine months, playing sell-out shows across Europe, Asia & Australia.

While his 2020 touring schedule has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, plans are in place for mid-late 2021 which will see him go on a USA, Mexico & Canada tour followed by a return tour of Bali, Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong, Australia.
