Hailing from Dallas, TX., a city that has spawned such house music greats as Brett Johnson, JT Donaldson, Demarkus Lewis, Lance Desardi, and White Lotus Society, the producing tandem of J. Caprice & Matt Pruitt (aka 4peace), otherwise known as HIGH MAINTENANCE, are the next big thing out of Big D! High Maintenance is makin' their presence felt with their signature funky, jackin', underground style of house music. Their high energy tag team sets are setting dancefloors afire across the U.S. while their infectious clownin', lighthearted personas make them a crowd favorite. Both have been accomplished DJ's for quite some time (4peace since '89 and J. Caprice since '96), but it wasn't until recently that things started taking off on the producing front. 4peace had been dabbling in production since about 2001 and struggling to complete anything due to a nagging lazy bone, while J. Caprice had been pluggin' away since 1999 and had just started making waves for himself under his solo moniker when the two met in February 2008 after they stumbled across each others myspace profiles. Needless to say, it was a match made in heaven and like two long lost brothers, they immediately clicked and started working on tracks together under the guise of High Maintenance. The house music community instantly took notice and the pair have been getting tracks signed at a torrid pace. Just since Feb. 2008, they have already signed an impressive amount of material to such respected labels as Digi Funk, Groove Baby, Midwest Hustle, Meltin' Funk, Junky Trunk, Llama Farm, Union, Footwear, Dustpan, Shak Digital, Shak Street, Serial Sickness, Cotopaxi, 3345, & Bid Musik!  With no signs of slowing down and a sound that continues to improve and mature with each release, the future looks very bright for the High Maintenance boys!

Ive been playing and writing music for about 20 years.

Ive been lucky enough to have many many cool labels release more than a hundred of my songs and remixes, most of them on vinyl.

A lot of great djs have also played my music throughout these years and included it in numerous compilations.

This allowed me to travel restlessly to over 45 countries with the sole purpose of making people dance.

Im a dedicated music selector trying not to get trapped in a single style of music. You will hear that my sets range from deep house to disco to boogie to soul and to whatever tickles the dancefloor best.
 
Im also involved in a collaboration project with my good friend and talented producer Manuel Sahagun, expect a lot of new music from us as well...
