Description: Original score inspired by the Collin Armstrong novel Polybius

This is a single-take recording of a jam session at The Premises, London. We aimed to evoke the mythological sirens of the sea who were believed by the Greeks to cause shipwrecks - a theme inspired by our scheduled performance at The Fishermen's Chapel, Leigh on Sea in May 2025. There are hundreds of shipwrecks off the coast of Leigh on Sea and the surrounding coastline. We open with the sounds of a hand-made sandbox containing sand and gravel collected (by moonlight!) from the beach near the chapel. Track image: Patricia McGahan.

Echoes of Eden

Mysterious and other-wordly, as if someone was floating in deep space, taking in the flows of plasma, the comets, and the birth of stars, this track was recorded live at an RM23 rehearsal in Premises Studios, London and features synths, found sounds, percussion, treated objects,  contact mics, gongs, vocal improvisation and more. The track image is a Chladni plate; one of the earliest ways of making sound visible.

If synthetic beings became conscious, would they sleep, and would they dream? If they did, perhaps this is what their dreamscape might sound like.
